^ I was listening to Ray Lewis yesterday, possibly my favorite verse of the year and you can just tell Ghost was probably his biggest influence.

I would say AZ.

Meyhem LAuren is aiight but I want to hear Action and MarQ Spekt on some tracks. I just don't feel like ML is on the same level as Bronson.

I don't agree, but this had me laughin'.

Action Bronson is really dope. That PF Cuttin song from last year is particularly nice.

Thanks, Money Daniels for the compilation.

By the way, my friend Jesse did that "Holy Trinity" artwork used in the mixtape posted. Wait 'til people see the Hindu Kush (Loe Pesci and Osa) album cover next year, he's killin' it.

People get Ghostface listening to him?

I'm getting AZ, all the way.

he reminds me of ghostface lyrically, the AZ comparison is more on point as far as his flow is concerned I think.

Hmmm. The only Ghost-like thing he does is the food metaphors but that's because he is a chef. He doesn't over-emote, no free association al la Supreme Clientele, no screaming, no going off-beat...

Not to say you are wrong, just that I don't see it.

To me, his style is as indebted to AZ, as Jay Electronica's is to Nas. I'm a big fan of Action Bronsons though, it's not like I think he is biting, just building on the foundation left by those before him.

Its not that he flows like Ghost, its that he practically SOUNDS like him on many tracks.

He definitely was more influenced by Ghost than AZ. I'll be the farm on that.

I agree COOLEHMAGAZINE, it's mostly the food metaphors that associate me with ghost.

As far as his voice goes, I'd say he's trying to sound like ghost, and he gets pretty annoying sometimes when he stays high-pitched and nasal for the entire song. His voice is definitely about five times weaker than ghost's is, as far as power and timbre is concerned.

I would take that bet and double down.

Listen to an AZ song, then listen to Action...

To me, Ghost's style involves crazy word association, over emoting, going off beat and coming back, screaming or singing, bars packed with vivid descriptions.

Of that, Action is only "guilty" of the last. But he has AZ's flow, tone and overall persona. Action rhymes like it's effortless, relaxed...Ghost's style is almost the opposite, you are meant to hear him strain and pull all over the track.
