If that pans out to not be head banging as fuck I may be trying to put some of my others homies out on wax too.
Most of us do this for the love. press up a couple hundred discs... Sell em til we break even and then start passing out the rest free. Just to be heard.
Just to be part of this culture we've always loved and been drawn too.But again we do it for the love of this shit. Give us some back.

Matter of fact: Listen to this one and NOT like it,.. I dare ya.

From 1998-2008 EAR-X-TACY was the shit..

Ever since they moved to their new location,it's been downhill.

There selection of underground hip-hop is MUCH smaller.

They used to have all the good classic underground joints and new underground joints, plus they always had all the mix type cd's from cats like Cut Chemist,Roc Raida,Beat Junkies, and anything like those artist.

I loved the old setup and they had all the underground hip-hop seperate from the commercial shit, plus all the vinyl and used section.

I'm less than 2 hours from there and get over to Louisville about 3-4 times a year.

I was just there in June..

Went to a place called HALF PRICE BOOKS..The only good thing i found there was a dvd called "FLYING CUT SLEEVES" which is a old documentry on various NYC street gangs.

I still haven't been to the new location of BETTER DAYS.

ELECTRIC LADYLAND and THE GREAT ESCAPE both suck for new and used music..

I've found some good dvd's and cd's in the past at the BOOK & MUSIC EXCHANGE,of which we have 2 of those places here in Evansville.

I used to find crazy records in the early 2000's at the DERBY FLEA MARKET..

There was a old white man who had a setup with a lot of old funk and soul records and there was a black dude that looked like Jimi Hendrix set up in the back that had mad records that i used to buy from.

That guy was real cool,it's too bad he sold his whole collection to some guy from Wisconsin he told me.

Tony is the Jimi Hendrix dude. He would never let off his colored wax on the wall tho. :)..the white cat with the glasses is still there with those white boxes of records and 45's.

electric Ladyland probably exists solely off their Bob Marley shirts and bong..er uh..I mean Hookahs.

Ear X is still the best spot despite being scaled back..They don't have the buyers they had that knew what was up.. They still stay up on a lot of the good though. When I go in they pick my brain on what's new that I'm up on. They still stock anything stone's throw.. Hiero stuff..and the used sections still pop up with gems all the time and outside of rap you can't find a better Indie Rock selection. Rock bands actually make it big out of here once in awhile like My Morning jacket, TV on the Radio has a few of our folkers...

AND we have a WAX plant here now in Sheperdsville that used to press wax strictly for square dancers until they went digital. That's right, the SQUARE DANCERS went digital ?!?! But now they press wax for indie rock, heavy metal and hip hop world wide. I went there recently and the owner treated me like people used to treat Mr. Rogers when he'd go somewhere and they'd show him how things were made ha ha.. He showed me each step of the process and showed me all types of things they'd made..SO cool this guy... Palomino Records they are called so TAKE note anyone looking to press records..holla at em.

http://www.dosado.com/pressing/pressingpricing.htm

Better Days folded and is coming back I JUST heard today.. unless they are open and that's what you mean by new location... We did a freestyle session outside of the last one a hot minute back.. Deuce Leader and myself had some peops meet us up there to kick it.

Oh oh..and There's Highland Records now too. Not a lot on the hip hop front but the owner looks like Peter Fonda and is way chill and always is playing 70's stuff front to back and loves to bullshit about bands so old that even I have no clue about them. Which is always entertaining.

He deffly uses a lot of movie clips pertaining to Gonzo..and he calls himself Dr.. Gonzo after Hunter S Thompson obviously. who was from Louisville which is where we mainly are based out of...He from Clarksville Indiana hence the title (right over the bridge from Lou) It's pretty simply a producer album with our crew and some other MC's that are dope from the area.

Let me know what you think. He does the scanners albums above and a couple of the others too.

I think you'd dig the goodbar and the jalin roze discs too.
