Str8 Slammin is a collection of Gibbs songs & features that didn't land on any official Gibbs mixtapes. It's a very well put together compilation. Professional fixes & edits were made to supe certain tracks up a bit so the tape flows together like a retail album. In no way shape or form do we profit off this tape it was put together strictly for the fans. All tracks are CDQ & No DJ! Enjoy & Spread

Resolved Question
Does Biggie Smalls hate HipHop???

"Shoulda been a cop, Fukc Hiphop"

I've been wondering what he meant by this.
Additional Details
Rap sucks, HipHop is better

Naw, he likes hip hop and rap. He was just referring to if he hadn't started rapping he would've been a cop.
So he's cursing it, not that he doesn't like it, just for the sake of it.

Good looks. Yall assemble this? I'm digging it more than St8 Killa No Filla EP, the only other Gibbs I've listened to.

Not as good as thought at first.

As for beats I only like the following: It's All Cognac/Highway To Hell/This is Freddie/In/Fuck Rap pt. 2/Something new/Fallin'/Falling Out of Place/Take Aim.

Top3 songs would probably be Highway to Hell, Fuck Rap pt. 2 and Take Aim, latter being my overall favorite. You can't go wrong with Black Superman and Gibbs sounds just amazing over it.

I also realized his taste in guest spots more or less sucks, so I guess the less featurings on Babyface, the better.

Freddie gibbs is now on on Young jeezy CTE label. As much as I like Jeezy he doesn't have the best track record for releasing artist. Let's hope he understands what Gibbs needs production wise. Slow south bangers, Midwest bounce, street shit.

gibbs + jeezy

meh, pretty rote trap shit

he needs to find a middle ground badly, supergroups with fags from teh cool kids are not the way to go but this isn't really much better either

are you talking about his discography as a whole or only guest appearances?

in any case highway to hell was dope as fuck. i like when he gets on different beats like that.

he did this one for adult swim i think:

<object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9eckOr7fVqs?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9eckOr7fVqs?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="390" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

both i suppose. he's done shit like this and he's done collabs with some elphin indy chicks, and neither really sat comfortably. i singled out highway to hell because imo it managed to play successfully to both sensibilities

"This is Freddie" = Inspiration. I knew there was a reason I like that beat so much.

Fresh off his recent partnership with Young Jeezy and last yearג€™s successful St8 Killa, No Filla mixtape, Freddie Gibbs is returning to the game in a big way. Gibbsג€™ manager told XXLMag.com that the Gary, Indiana MC is planning to drop a new free mixtape, Cold Day in Hell, with his biggest list of rapping and production guests yet.

Aiming for a June 14 release to coincide with his birthday, Gibbs has tapped Young Jeezy, Juicy J, Alley Boy, Freeway, Sly Polaroid, Slick Pulla, 211 and Bun B to complement him on the mic. Production will come from a wide range of luminaries both underground and mainstream, including: Big K.R.I.T., Justice League, Alchemist, Burn One, Lil Lody, Mexicans With Guns, Olympicks and K-Salaam & Beatnick.

The mixtape will be Gibbsג€™ first release after signing with Young Jeezy. ג€”Carter Maness
