murdered on your own shit (the official thread)

Post by Philaflava »

list all the collabos where the rapper got completely shitted on by his guest. please try and stick with the two rapper collabos.

i'll start...

most recently curren$y had no business rapping with freddie gibbs on "scottie pippens." gibbs not only murdered him but made me realize just how simple curren$y is and how he should stick to doing solo stuff on his devin the dude steez.

Agreed on that Scottie Pippen, first time I heard that I was like damn, Freddie just left Currensy in the dust.

It's hard to listen to Kane on this track since Chino comes on after him and murders it. Kool G Rap does his thing though, but Kane on this song sounds like the point of his career when his flow became more simplistic and less impressive than his first 3 albums.

I always think of this track when this question is asked:

<object width="425" height="349"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-Df58xddxeM?ve ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-Df58xddxeM?ve ... n_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="349" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

A mediocre rapper with a deal and obviously a decent budget for some reason, a dope beat with a guest shot from one the best MCs in the game at the height of his powers. I absolutely love G Rap's verse but he managed to ruin poor Pudgee's entire album for me.

Maybe I'm being harsh about Pudgee but "Give 'Em The Finger" was released in ~1993, in the 3 year gap between G Rap's "Live And Let Die" and "4, 5, 6" and after hearing G Rap's spot all I could think after each track, a Trackmasters banger with a comparatively dull rhyme from Pudgee, was "why can't this be a fucking Kool G Rap album!?" Hip-hop never fails to disappoint.

I still have yet to hear that Pudgee album, but im gonna listen to it now. Kool G Rap was definitely a beast around the early 90's

<object width="425" height="349"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VkXim46rCwo?ve ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VkXim46rCwo?ve ... n_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="349" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

More G Rap murder, this time MC Shan is the victim. I realize the other Chino XL post I made above is actually an artist murdering one of his featured artists, so I'm posting this one. The song is actually an MC Shan song, but the uploader of the audio named it after G Rap.

I thought Jay ripped that shit. Don't feel like anyone necessarily murdered him on that.

first thing that came to my mind.

- Hitman, on pretty much every song he was on on 2001.
- Spice 1 on Wet Party off of TearDaClubUpThugs.
- Ras Kass on Xzibits 3 Card Molly & on Killah Priest 'What part of the game is that'
- Lethaface on every song he's on UGod's Redemption album...

I was at Battery Studios in Manhattan, where Boogie Down Productions does most of their work. KRS and Freddie Foxxx were working on Ruff Ruff... The track was playing loud over and over while Foxxx was writing his lyrics on one side of the room and Kris was writing on the other. Foxxx kept looking up at Kris who was in deep concentration. So, he kept writing because he wanted their parts to be equal in length. After a long time, he finally asked how long Kris wanted it to be and if he was done. KRS looked up and said, "Oh, I'm just writing graffiti. I got my rhymes," and pointed to his head. That's why Freddie Foxxx's part is so long on that song.

Speaking of long verses... Cappadonna on Winter Warz.
There was a time when I felt Ghost rapped better than Rae on Cuban Linx (as a whole) and Rae rapped better than Ghost on Ironman. I think I was just smoking too much weed then though.

Also, RA The Rugged Man on Uncommon Valor.
Though you could say the same thing about countless other JMT tracks. Vinnie's entertaining, but frequently outshined.
