I called it with KG but I think for him, he just was getting names from time to time. That Daylyt battle is what he needed. Yeah, Reason, I'd say KG's 3rd round was pretty remarkable. Notice how some of these dudes like Dialect and KG are getting a buzz from when Daylyt either chokes or doesn't do as well as his opponent,

im not a big fan of list punches either, mainly cus most of the time, they are so heavy handed. they just make me think people are reading off keystyle verses

bulletz and thesaurus both had some good lines. all bulletz soccer lines went over my head cuz im not british so i just ignored those.

thesaurus' youre the same bullet 100 times line was solid.

kg poet had a lot of heavy handed list schemes in his battle too. daylyt as well. that battle was still pretty good tho.

i think when rappers rely to much on the list thing, its typically to their detriment because they have trouble switching up the style of punches and shit. those list joints over and over is the equivalent to a boxer coming out and throwing 97 jabs in a row

i gave manaz vs daylyt to manaz. day was funny, but he only had one angle

and ardamus and i discussed the hollow vs surf battle last week. i dunno who id give it to, it ended up boring me by the end. both came out strong but something felt off to me. hollow got all aggressive on bars that then had second grade punches. but he also had some really dope lines. i agree with ardamus about when surf yells and maybe that's what threw me off.

Hollow deserves the praise he gets. Why? Because his resume and his style match. Tsu Surf talked trash on Hollow rolling with Grind Time which is dumb. Niggas stuck on URL like thats the only battle league. They originated it but they didnt expand what they were doing til later. Tsu Surf should do a KOTD battle against a non URL rapper to see how it goes over. Hollow is diverse and has more of a range than most of those dudes. It goes back to what Okwerdz said: "what a buncha divas!".

it really was, and very hard to judge, i hope the rest of the nome battles are that level.

i also watched big t vs hollow last night too. i stand corrected in that a battle with hollow and lux would be better than i initially thought, hollow moves between frees and writtens really well.

All these fools are complaining that Chilla was over prepared and boring. LOL. I felt he took it with his bars. DNA was cool but he did the same thing he's done at least the last 3 to 4 times I've seen him battle.

i mean, he was over-prepared, which aint necessarily a bad thing, but he tried to spit like 800 bars in round two, that round definitely got boring cuz he was just going and going and going, and that shit aint gonna translate live.

he got some big responses from some of his doper setups and schemes but some of the other schemes probably just ended up sounding like filler to the audience.

for as much as he was writing, people weren't reacting cus sometimes it was just too much, and we weren't catching stuff til like 3-4 bars later.

its like i said a few posts up about writing too intricately and coming off like a netcee, where some of your bars are better for reading on a screen than hearing
