The guy who did the Houston Rap/Tapes books does a radio show now, I just put up a post about it. 10 eps are on soundcloud, one hour each. He barely talks on it, just plays music, so it's 10 cumulative hours of Houston rap mixes wiht some other stuff thrown in. Really good stuff, haven't heard them all yet but dug the ones I did.

What else is good in Texas rn aside from Maxo and Sauce? Haven't paid attention to anything else beside Outfit for a while, and they're way overdue for another one too.

Sauce Factory/ Moe Gang are the big deal. Beatking is a standard by now. Le$ is hitting his stride. I like this dude ST Dot too, but he's kinda basic for your tastes I would imagine. Boston George too.

TSF/Moe Gang is the smart money right now though. If this Drake remix ever actually comes out the floodgates will open for them. Steve Francis getting his chain snatched at the Sauce Twinz show has been big too lol.

"If you’ve been in the scene down here deep in the Underground, you were aware of the fact that there was this HAWK album that had been yet to be released with a bunch of unheard tracks on it. It ALMOST came out like 2 or 3 years ago, but got held up for whatever reason. But here we are March 2015, and BAM Im on the instagram and I see my dear friend Meshah Hawkins post the cover and say its dropping the 17th! Instant joy filled the air… and some smoke followed shortly after!
HAWK Lives!! As long as we can put him in the deck and turn it up, he’ll always be right there with us. This album features unreleased verses, remixed hits, freestyles and more! It is the first of a series of 3 cd’s to be released highlighting the amazing work of the late great, H A Dub K!
Check it out below and download to bang in the ride."

Did any of y'all manage to download Hawk's mixtape? Seems like it's only up for streaming.

If it's his life story it better be better than the noz interview. That was a good interview btw. The book is $17 on iTunes. I'll report back.

It's so many pages bc it has a bunch of pictures and generic quotes from rappers which makes it corny to me. I was hoping a format like Pimp by Iceberg Slim. That's how you tell a fucking life story. I guess you gotta write that in first person tho.

Its got several Noz quotes.

Dope ass book. Probably the best biography on a musician I've ever read and I've read a lot
