I was on the fence with this guy for a long time (since I DL'ed it about 2 months ago), but has grown on me a lot.

Legit.

Not the type of rapper I'd usually listen too, and I'm not even really sure if I like the actual rapping that much, but he's got a great voice and a good approach. Hopefully he can build a little more.

Looks like Boldy dropped a new mixtape- http://www.sharebeast.com/95vq0o4vxmy8

Haven't had a chance to peep yet, but my interest was piqued after checking this vid-

There's some serious heat on that mixtape, think I already like it better than the one from last year. There's some wack beats and collabs, but when it's good, it's really good.

missed this thread 1st time around. one of my favorite rappers out right now. real subtle lyrical style. i hang onto his words w/out getting bored, a lot more than w/ dudes like roc marci (who i also like just not as much)

Funny you make the Roc comparison, I was thinking the same thing thing. I prefer Roc, but I have a feeling this new Boldy mixtape will be in my rotation for a while. He needs to make a focused album though, 26 song mixtapes w/ random guests & producers get old quick.

i disagree, i think its nice that someone releases a project i'm not finished with after a couple days, it forces you to spend some time w/ it. there are a few dudes whose verses are sub-par but there are some other ones (like shorty k) i want to hear more from (lmao he said 'bad bowler i'm ballin' in the gutter')

and as for the production some (Brains, Cardo, JHill) is better than others, but i still prefer this approach to the production on the roc marci records

Was it Paul Wall who dropped the "ball in in the gutter like a below average bowler" line? Or mack Maine maybe....
