Further illustrates the fact that people on here relish the opportunity to talk out of their anus as much as possible.

I know initially he said this is dropping the end of February, but has anyone seen if there is an actual release date? Weird that there is no single out or anything.

It is excessive, but fuck it. Like I say, don't mind supporting an artist like that. Not like I'm gonna go to a Roc Marciano show and support that way. Or buy a headband with a rose on it.

I'll buy the physical directly from him, but charging that much for a download is dumb.

You can buy a direct download for 30$ from his web site right now. A year ago I would've done this immediately without a second thought, but considering the shitty mastering of the last one and their generally uninspiring rollout... ehhhh. I hate to say it but I'm not sure he has my blind confidence anymore, not to the same extent he did before at least.

$30 for a digital album? That's more than a 2LP vinyl of the album.

I will listen first before I copp for $25-30. If I like it I will gladly purchase. No problem supporting Roc I've paid for every one of his albums thus far. Probably the only artist I can say that about in the last 20 years.

This is still like my favorite shit of his. Still makes me want to flip a car over.

I can't get behind buying the digital. I have all of the others on CD & vinyl, but the $30 digital is dumb.

Just listened to the new album.

I enjoy... Tent City, Bedspring King, 67 Lobby and Power. The joint featuring Action Bronson joint is cool too I guess.

The Sauce is WACK!! Don't like Kill You either. LOL at Muse... typical no drums wackness. smh

I think last year's Rosebudd's Revenge is easily better. And of the two albums, the best song by far is still Rosebudd's Revenge produced by Don Cee aka Don Chalant of Arch Druids.

That bed spring king song isn’t very good. I can’t believe he looped that spring sound throughout the entire track too

Is this just more of the same thing he's been doing for the last 10 years? Always thought of him as the sort of rapper where owning one of his albums is enough. Assumed the excitement surrounding his releases stems from the lack of decent NY thug rap around in this era.

This is really one of the stupidest things I've read on this board.

Yup, minus the Whiskey. I like Rum or a nice IPA or Double IPA.

Actually I bought the vinyl, but I'm comparing apples to apples because there is not yet an RR2 vinyl to speak of, you fucking nincompoop.

What kind of rum? Just went to the Dominican Republic and tasted rum that made me cream in my dungarees. Didn’t know rum could be so wonderful.

There are a few songs where the low vocals bothered me, but it doesn't seem as bad as the other one. I think I like this one more overall too, there are a few tracks here that feel like my favorite Marci work since Reloaded.

Step is being a kneejerk dick but he does have a kernel of a point in there somewhere. Roc had an incredible run from 09-12 where he started out strong and then grew and evolved and got even better, but he mostly plateaued after Reloaded. RR1 didn't sound much different from the music he was dropping 5 years prior, although his writing on it was stellar. On this one he takes a few chances on something a little different (The Sauce stands out for example), and I think he pulls it off.

Granted an artist doesn't have to grow or re-invent themselves continuously to be good, nothing wrong with finding your lane and getting all you can out of it. But that's how you get music that sounds samey, and Marc def has a bit of that.

that's basically what I was getting at. He's not someone that will ever surprise you. I thought it was a fairly common train of thought tbh and didn't anticipate a couple of dudes in their 40s getting all sensitive because I'd criticized their favourite rapper. Does go some way to explaining how Roc can charge so much for the download with that kind of fan base though.

Yet, I am sure not one of us paid $30 to hear it. Not fucking one.
I think that shit is crazy to ask that. The whole "get" was listen to it a week before anyone else? Shit, the minute that was made available to download the entire Roc Marci fan base got to listen to it free of charge.
