I am very jealous of you right now...

Is he cognizant of my website's existence (LIRB)?

Does the rising popularity of his sound inspire him to try other sounds or outdo his imitators? Both? Neither?

What wrong(s) is Rosebudd getting revenge for?

On "Sweet Nothings," he spit, "Do the tango on the yayo like Puff and J. Lo (take that take that take that)." He's mentioned again on "Bohemian Grove." What's up with the Puffy references?

A frankensteined track featuring him, Biggie and Busta on a J. Dilla beat surfaced this year after he brought it up on Twitter: http://www.longislandrap.com/2018/01/bu ... ciano.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
What other unreleased collaborations are there floating around that we haven't heard?! Early Flipmode tracks?

Any upcoming Long Island rappers or producers I should be looking out for?

Why didn’t Roc get a Grammy award winning (nominated?) engineer to master his indie albums? You guys never heard of money? What the fuck.

Assuming you've heard these...

I feel like there's something where they've rapped together but it doesn't come to mind, would also love to hear an album from the two of them. Not sure how well their lyrics would complement one another, but Roc on BN beats and/or BN on Roc beats would be great. There's a Man Bites Dog connection there also.

^ Yep. Slugs Thru Ya Papaya and Think Differently are two of my favorite tracks ever, no hyperbole. Roc's verse on Think Differently is absolute flames, one of his best imo. And yeah, their rapping together I think would be a very interesting combination. Bronze has more abstract lyrics and is less visual or literal. Very different styles too, and the production I'm sure would be top notch. I would be all for it. It would be an automatic purchase for me.

Thanks alot.

Couple other random things that I've never heard people ask him.

Get him to talk about his writing style. Kinda point out that he's one of the most hailed rappers of the last decade however he really doesn't let much of himself get known through his raps. Doesn't really talk about anything about his personal life. Heard him mention in interviews that he's had a son over the last few years, however he never touches on that in his writing or any other detailed aspects of his family or background.

Talk to him about making RR1 & RR2. When & where were they recorded. Why recorded back to back when he usually spreads things out over time. I've seen from IG that Ka was in some of the RR2 recording sessions. How come he didn't hop on any tracks. Also, heard him mention Jake One was in the sessions. How'd that come about and what was the connection there. Also, ask him what the deal was with the Citizen Kane backdrop on RR1. Strictly due to the name?

Also, his connection to the Arch Druids is kind of interesting. Seems they really only give him beats. Curious to know how that came about & if their planned album Scorched Earth Policy is ever gonna come out.

After giving it a decent amount of spins, feel like RR1 is better. Some good cuts on here, but overall, prefer the first one at this stage.

"I.D.K" is probably better than most RR2 tracks. "Revenge" is the only absolute standout in my opinion.

Cannot imagine having paid $30 for it.

It is expensive for a CD, obviously, but when he explains his motives, it's not all that unreasonable. I mean, you can hold tight for a week or two and just buy it at retail but I will give him credit because he made valid points when we spoke and if Nippy Hustle can make 1M selling a few $100 CD's, then who is to say this can't work for some folks? It's just ballsy, that's all. Like certain artists can't do this. Can you imagine Aesop Rock doing this?

Actually yes, this is a guy with a loyal cult following who doesn't release a lot of material and a good chunk of his fans can probably afford to pay a little extra. And considering his stuff with Jeremy Fish he'd probably make it a more attractive package than just an expensive download or just a CD.

Despite Yak's sarcasm, $30 for a digital copy (pllus a CD?) especially of this kind of low-t output on Roc's part simply isn't a good value. If it was something akin to Reloaded I'd be able to logically justify the purchase in my own mind.

Jeremy Fish is raking up all that new weed money. There's a popular company that makes cartridges and you can buy some limited edition design for him at an absurd mark up.

If we're comparing apples to apples here, just a digital download and not some fancy physical package, I don't see Aesop doing this. It'd think it would alienate a lot of his following.

Two different worlds: Aes is considered a more refined, palatable, postmodern Eminem while Roc Marciano raps about bitches, guns, weed, money, and generally sounds like he enjoys his life.

i sincerely doubt that aes would ever do it... but im 92.134% sure he would be successful if he did choose to go this route
