Agreed, a Kanye-less 'Watch the Throne' would be a significant improvement.

Y'all crazy. Kanye was the best part of the album. Even though his shit is probably ghostwritten is was a lot fresher than HOV's 40+ year old lyrics

Kanye's lyrics aren't much different from Jay's. I like the album, but lets be honest.

lol @ "realhiphop"

No, they're pretty different. Not so much in subject matter, perhaps, but West's performance on the albums sounded largely like a MBDTF-rehash and beating the dead horse that is the Drake-style dramatic-pause-in-place-of-the-word-"like"-similie punchline.

Jay's performance on the album was the best he's been since 2004. His overall performance (especially his flow) was miles above West, seemed like Hov had something to prove.

I disagree with the assessment that this is Jay at his best since 2004.

His flow and swag, yes.

But his lyrics left a lot to be desired.

The album is growing on me though.

I actually started doing this when it first came out. I'm no expert but I used Audacity to do some really quick editing and it came out pretty smooth. I only got around to doing "The Joy" and some other track... maybe if I can find them I'll upload them.

Fans wondering what it would cost to hire Jay-Z and Kanye West to perform at their birthday parties now have an answer: the price tag is $6 million.

That's how much billionaire Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour paid for the duo to perform at his sister's 16th birthday party to a packed crowed in Dubai two weeks before Christmas.

Thesun.co.uk reports that each emcee was paid 1.9 million pounds, roughly $2.92 million.
