Makes sense. Let Jake One and Ant produce, couple guest appearances...should be dope.

I'm not a fan of the new, spiritually enlightened Brother Ali. If he can bust (nh @ "If he can bust") like Shadows on the Sun or Rites of Passage, it's worth a listen. All I can hear is Freeway superbeasting every track.

Yeah, I'm hoping Freezer will keep Ali on some gully shit and there will be little to no singing and whatnot.

Both tracks they've been on together have been pretty great, Ali was on some rap rap shit, I'd expect this album to be similar.

On a side note, that second song always reminds me that Joell Ortiz literally does not know the meaning of the word literally.

This week, it was reported that Brother Ali would release his collaborative project with Freeway early next year. However, Ali contacted HipHopDX to inform us that this is not the case. The Rhymesayers emcee explained that his solo effort with Jake One would be dropping in early 2012 and that his initial statements were misunderstood. He also wanted to clarify that he felt it was "too early" to speak on the joint album with Freeway.

Sean/Ghost album or Sean/Redman album
pfffttt... Tame One, FOH wit that shit!
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Really? This is the first time Ive heard someone said dude is straight wack.
As a pretty big Tame fan, Id be the first to say that in the last 2-3 his output has been lackluster, but wack overall or even post Artifcats?

Whatever happened to that Freeway and The Jacka album announced earlier this year? Did I miss it?

From what I've read, at the time it came about because Freeway didn't have a deal and Birdman always liked him so he wanted to put the album with Jake One out, leading for that album to momentarily be billed on a handful of websites as from "Cash Money / Rhymesayers" which would have been interesting.

Freeway definitely got it in on the indie shit. Good move for him overall.

The Ali singing thing is just too much
So is this half singing thing. The thing that slug and apparently Ali are doing now with the bluesy shit... It just doesn't hit that chord for me. At first when Atmosphere busted it out I was pumped for the possibilities but that sound is too inconsistent to warrant a blind album purchase for me and right now I'm so into the jazz new R&B and old music thing its not what I'm ready for. Maybe I'll come back around.
