2 westcoast records that are rarely talked about and for me up there with the best G-funk albums

im sure nobody will agree with me but thats what this thread is for. sonically this album blew my mind like no other hip hop album in a long time. he really stretched the idea of how hip hop could sound imo.

Jewelz is up there for me too. So many songs i love on there, i can listen to "Cant Go Wrong" for hours and thats not even one of my top 5 tracks on it.

Slick Rick- The Ruler's Back

I can't explain to you how dope I think this record is... It's truly one of a kind... I swear it's the only record that sounds like this! Fast rap on even faster production. Rick's just telling dope stories... I actually prefer it over Great Adventures...

"Venus" and "Runaway" are soo dope. Rick might be my favorite signing rapper ever!

"King" and "Bond" are crazy! "Moses", "Tonto"...

All three of the singles, "I Shouldn't Have Done It", "Mistakes", and "It's A Boy", are excellent as well!

I'll never understand the hate this album gets- it's a more than worthy follow-up to a classic debut...
