Cant ever be upset about new Slick Rick. This was dope. I really think he could drop a solid album in 2012 if he wanted to.

He's playing a "classics" set in Denver on New Years Eve w/Too $hort, who will also be doing a similar set. Thinking of going but I've seen both more than once so it will depend on what else is going on that evening I suppose.

Beat could've done without "The Show" hi-hats but, it's The Ruler!

I liked it. Then again, Primo is my "ACN". Seriously though, shit is decent, just good to hear SR over some decent production, or even at all.

the last primo beat i really liked was this:

<object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lOWRzZhDHb0?ve ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lOWRzZhDHb0?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

i think this slick rick beat woulda been pretty cool with harder drums.

I don't know one part of me thinks this is dope, while the other part of me thinks that both are capable of much better, a new album from Rick needs Large Pro, Madlib, Oh No, The Audible Doctor, Vance Wright and Fakes producers lol I'm kidding about that last part.

Definitely a topic worth weighing on.

Agreed. He's just always enjoyable to listen to, which is rare.

Real dope...

Unlike a lot of other artists from the '80s, Slick Rick's style has not changed much.
