You guys are going to love his new Sen Dog impersonation on the first bars of Sylvester Lundgren.

I dont know, he does sound kinda like Ghost but you can easily tell them apart. In any case, this album is pretty incredible.
Quinton of Pharcyde fame is the one who started the "I'm not a rapper" trend.

Hard to believe people are still on that shit.

Anyways, I'm really into his transition into an action star with incredible gymnastic capability. It serves him well. Album offers some of his best work to date.

I don't know what's going on with his voice, but it doesn't sound like him at all.

Haven't listened to Reloaded yet, so I guess it makes sense I'm celebrating this a bit more than yall right now. (Roc might've spit the best verse on an AB album again BTW.)

The beat on the third part of Randy The Musical is out of control. Whole tape is hot. You can just tell Bronson and Al must have smoked like a QP and just went crazy when making this.

Between this and Reloaded, it's been a fantastic week of new Hip Hop. Mic Tyson too to a lesser degree.

i think evidence was losing his voice or it was strained when he recorded. definitely not trying to impersonate anyone. i've seen him lose his voice at shows before and it sounded similar.

havent listened to the entire project but what i've heard is thorough.

If that's how Evidence sounds when he's strained his vocal chords, he should strain the fuck out of them and record an album. Would be hands-down the best thing he ever recorded.

Really digging on this project. These are the best Alchemist beats I've heard in years.

Ev sounded a lot like this on his album and all his collabos too, like the cut with Phonte and Big Krit. The affect is wearing off maybe.

Voices deepen and change as we age. This is true for all humans, not just rappers, however, it can be especially noticeable with lead singers. For example, Bono can't sing for shit anymore - some might say he never could - but I'll digress. Others are able to avoid this, somehow, Thom Yorke and Micheal Stipe come to mind. I think that certain rappers - Raekwon for example - sound different now than they did in their formative years, and in some cases the shit really works and they actually sounds better. In Prodigy's case it doesn't. What I'm getting at is that, Evidence, being in his mid-thirties, might just sound like this now.

which album is that? I haven't listened to a single track he's been on since the Weatherman LP.

Dude, this isn't 7th grade health class - I get it. But this is not a subtle shift in this case and it is definitely not a deepening.

Uh, okay homey, but that's not something you learn in 7th grade, it's just a fucking factual observation. Something this board needs more of because there's a plethora fucktards abound. But to your point, to me it sounds like a subtle shift.

gonna go ahead and agree that the difference in evidences voice isn't that drastic at all... between his last album and now, i don't hear a huge difference. it's definitely changed a bit for the better since the weatherman lp though.

Could be subtle based on recent recordings. Like I said The Weatherman is the last time I heard Evidence rhyme. Compare that, or Dilated era Evidence and it sounds like a totally different person. But that was over 5 years ago. Kind of like the inversion of listening to Paid in Full Rakim vs. 7th Seal Rakim vocally.
