yeah thats just some extremely cynical adult driven by $$ to try & capitalize off a perceived trend. Keef's shit was created by him & his friends not behind the scenes puppetmasters trying to capitalize on lowest common denominator worldstar-baiting, even if it played with that dynamic the drill scene artists who've been signed so far still had agency in their own careers & how they presented themselves

btw anyone else notice places like gawker & complex posting links to worldstar videos now. race to the bottom

Not really feeling the Reese tape.

He pretty much stole the show on I Don't Like and his more playful style works on Haters (although the Kelz sample stole his thunder there), but he hasn't really got the voice or, indeed, look to pull off the trademark deadpan thugged out tracks like Savage etc.

Plus, I'm not sure I need more than two songs-per-Rapper by Keef's buddies anyway. Basically, he's the Drill scene's Big Scoob who should stick to back-up dancing, occasional cameo verses and two or three great singles.

if you were talking about SD i'd agree but Reese has a distinct david aldridge ish look, swag & rap style imo. and "Beef" is an unquestionably great single, almost at the level of "haters". "Savage" and "Us" are a notch below that, but pretty much certified bangers. this is better than a good % of last year's brick squad tapes, anyway

Just wanted to drop in and thank all regular contributers for doing a great job. Don't necessarily dig all new music posted in here, but my music folder is ever expanding with new Chicago tunes.
