YOUNG THUG SUED We Paid for a Rap ... YOU GAVE US JACK!

Young Thug got paid handsomely to record just ONE verse with a rap contest winner -- but when it came time to hit the studio he was a ghost, according to a new lawsuit.

Online hip-hop merchandiser WeThePlugg.com filed the suit in Georgia ... hitting up Young Thug for $14,500. A rep for the company tells TMZ they handed Young Thug's reps $5,000 last year as a down payment to get him on the track.

The site ran a contest where the winner would get to record a collab with YT. In exchange, the rapper would get another $10k. But WeThePlugg's rep says Young Thug went M.I.A. We're told when they talked to his manager ... they were told he was no longer down for the project.

As for the poor contest winner, we're told that person did get to do a song, but solo ... sans Thug.

WeThePlugg.com is suing to get back its $5k down payment, plus damages.

Also his recent baby mama shit, i sorta wanted something different. When I saw it flipped to other people's names, i was pretty dissapointed

he always worked better as a feature. on his solo shit that actually came off, he had birdman feeding him drugs & gassing him up that he's a blood. he never takes it to 10 on this new joint. for the most part it's the same shit, but then when you expect him to snap & go full crackhead (aka his main appeal) he doesn't.

this is absolutely right. there's a reason rocky doesn't release 3 mixtapes and a proper album a year. if thug really wants to legitimately be the face of the fashion side of things he should lay low

I feel like Lyor has him pumping out product just to put shit out when all they need is one hit single and a massive album and tour. I wish he had more of a machine behind him when "Stoner" and "Danny Glover" were popping. Unfortunately that may have been the peak of his commercial appeal.

yeah, i agree with everything said here, this album seems really toned down and restrained. which in a way, seems like the cover makes sense

maybe he will put out a fire mixtape next month that had all the joints lyor wouldnt allow for the album and shit will be a classic

if he did that he wouldn't have the same cultural impact he currently has. he's an icon in the tradition of the based god and he's by no means underperforming at being young thug

I def agree, but career wise I'm not crazy about him signing with 300 Entertainment as opposed to being signed with Gucci or Cash Money.
