Today is the first day I really felt this album all the way through. But man I am, dunno why I threw it on... but its the perfect music for me right now.

So, is anyone going to go on a Jamaican or Bahamian cruise with El-P and Killer Mike?

nah, despot is like mos def in that regard (and not in any others that i can think of). hilariously mumbly when talking and then surprisingly clear and semi-articulate when rapping.

Despot is dope. He does sound a bit... high or something though.

He's supporting El-P at the London show. Despot - if you read this ho11a. Let me buy you a can of Red Stripe.

I love that the Detox-esque delay of Despot's album is such a running joke among them all, but it would be nice if he would actually release some kind of official project at some point. I'm sure it will be dope, but it just seems like he's trying to make sure it's all perfect. In my experience when people spend close to a decade trying to perfect a project it comes out like a compilation of work that was done over a 10 year period, as opposed to something that was made over a really cohesive and intense one or two month period. And that's generally not a good thing.

At this point I think I'd rather hear a 5 track EP from him with some random producer than wait another three years for his "album."

Regardless, the guy is obviously an entertaining rapper.

I assume that vid was filmed around the time that they were in Seattle- but that's like exactly how his hypeman was at the show. Hitting the start of lines and generally fucking everything up.
