@mooh
I never did but I will next time I speak to him. I'd be shocked if he still had it.

:lol: seriously.
I'd gladly trade what we have now for $18 cd's at tower records if it meant a dude could get an advance on a three record deal.
Blockhead, are your advances typically non-recoupable, and do you see any of the profit from sales?
I've somehow managed to stay in the black on all my dealings with my label. I don't make a shit load off royalties but I do make them. I'd venture to guess it's cause Ninja Tune keeps the costs pretty low on my albums.
So do you pay Ninja Tune back the advance?

Or do they just recoup it from their split of the royalties?

Trying to understand how these deals are structured.

Pretty sure I mentioned this to you before.
I have this. One of the most ridiculous records I own, frankly. Darryl gets loose on the mic, and by loose on the mic I mean he sucks.

Nah, they give me an advance. That money is mine no matter what happens. But I don't see another dime unless that money is recouped by sales. Once it's recouped, I get royalties every 6 months or so. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It kinda depends on if I got songs licensed or not. That kinda stuff helps recoup and make me extra money.

He's making music...slowly. I believe he's gonna put out a full length produced entirely by ratatat. I've heard like 3 songs thus far and they are awesome.

1- I didn't realize you produced some of those album cuts. I dig the hell out of nearly all of them.

2- You have ignored my post in the P&B thread about my future with Amy K. Nelson. How am I supposed to run away with her if you don't help!?

I'm working my way up to something custom made though. Just so you know, Block. :cheers:

The Maya Rudolf one. I am obviously 95% kidding. She is awful cute/seems darn good at her job. Was giving her an intro just a friends thing, or are you doing other work with SB Nation?
