I was kind of :naswtf: over that video myself. Pep Love didn't do himself any favors waiting so damn long to drop some new shit.

(I think Opio's been slippin' 4 a long time, though)

peps verses were really bad, the content was pretty rough too, i am not sure how many people are trying to dress like 40 year old rap artists who are trying to dress like kids. but that might just be me.

It wasn't very good, hopefully it's just one song where they tried these laid back flows. Still, I've heard worse from them so I can't be too mad.

Maybe this video will even things out for today.

<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/y54GVGls8og?ve ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/y54GVGls8og?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

I've never been much of a Phesto fan. Don't really know why, he's always the last in SOM that I would check for.
This song works for him, though a verse from Op or Casual wouldn't hurt.

With the exception of Cas, who is still very hit or miss, nobody from the Hiero camp has made me that "excited" in years. Del hasn't done shit for me in a decade now. SOL were alright with the help of Prince Paul but they bore me.

Pep and Casual were my two favorites and this isn't a good track to come back with.

That video/song wasn't as bad as Alaska made it out to be....
With very few exceptions on released material in recent years, I'm just happy my Hiero heroes are still at it....
Honestly, after "No Man's Land" dropped I knew they weren't gonna drop nathan but classics like that......

"They are from Cali, you know" lol (That was a fuckin joke, calm down).

Be real, "Ascension" was kinda butt too yo.

Del & Casual have a really dope track over the "Lean on Me" (BDK) sample on Casual's new sh!t that is indeed bangin....

Anyone know wtf's good with that "Vulture's Wisdom 2"...Didn't they have promos and videos for that sh!t and it never dropped?

that was my least favorite Pep Love song ever. it's okay, it happens to everyone you love in hip hop at some point or another.

but i ain't worried, cause CASUAL is still bringing FIIIIIRE

:larry: Man, that shit has some joints on it. Ascension pretty much showed Pep's potential as an emcee to hold his own with an album.

Was a little disappointed in Casuals drop, tho there's some highlights on that [Fear It's Self] tip like Flame Thrower & Balling out of Control.

There HAS NEVER been a more disappointing experience in my life than listening to Cage's Depart From Me album. My face didn't move for 60 minutes.

No one, I mean NO ONE, will go from as dope as I thought Cage was to as wack as he sounded on that album.

It was a true abomination!

So unless he pulls a Cage, I can give Pep a pass. Maybe a hundred of them.
I like Philly basketball, Boston baseball, and New York rap.

I love Ascension, but I know I'm in the minority there. I think that any rap fan would have to admit that on a technical level, Pep Love is lyrically intense on that album. You might think the songs are soft or whatever, but the rhymes are great.

This new shit in the video is abominable.

Ascension and Ascension Side C were both really good albums... and I've been waiting for the new Pep album for years. Shame. I'll still check it out - and I'm still looking forward to Phesto's solo in March, and Vulture's Wisdom 2 in Feb...

I recall Ascension having some great raps but being BORING as fuck. I haven't really fucked with any Hiero shit in a long time.

Let's be honest, bros, save for Casual and the occasional ill Tajai verse, it's about time for Heiro to hang it up.
