Hologram Shakur

Post by Kalistoga »

I know there's a Coachella thread already in "Rick Rubin," but this deserves it's own. Would you want to see more of this kind of thing? A Wu-Tang show with Ol' Dirty Hologram?

The amount of time that must have took to create ...

It's impressive as fuck, but equally as creepy.

I can't believe how realistic the hologram of Snoop Dogg's career is. It's like it's still with us.

I wonder how many cuban nipples got pinched without consent by Pac's ghost before they had the technology to rebuild him harder, more authentic, even rapey-er

It's a sad day when a hologram out shines everyone else on stage.

this, actually.

Snoop was the best rhymer of the night, on every level. Clearly having the most fun on the mic, most articulate voice, best vocal projection and crowd connection. 50 Cent seemed like he wasn't even focused on the moment of the show. He was fucking up left right and center, and I'm pretty convinced Tony Yayo knows the words to "What Up Gangsta" better than Curtis. Snoop saved his ass when they did the "PIMP" remix. Dr. Dre has the showtime swagger (sorry) of a man who stays in the studio for years and doesn't come out for performances very often. He wasn't bad, but he rapped like he's just any normal MC... and sorry dog, you're DR. DRE. You gotta fucking come with some superstar stage magic if you want us to wait 15 years for you to do anything. And Eminem covers his eyes with his hat and barely wants to even rap to people anymore. Which is a shame, cause when he does, he's a great live performer. Wiz Khalifa held it down, but didn't make too much of an impression. Kurupt DID murder it too but they didn't give him much time to flex.

Leaving the hologram Tupac to rock Coachella with more energy and hyperactivity than everyone, plus had the loudest microphone, where you could hear every word. :naswtf: :wtf: :nut:

this is another good time to say:

and without any disrespect to Nate Dogg whatsoever: I'm glad Tupac Shakur was the FIRST rapper of all time to get "blessed" (cursed?) with this hologram resurrection business.

it's only fitting. 0.01% of me still wants to believe he's alive anyways... AND HE MUST BE CAUSE I JUST SAW HIM ROCK WITH SNOOP DOGG AT COACHELLA YO :ironmike:

How does Vinnie Paz feel about this?

Also, Hennessey needs to get in on this quickly.

As of yet the technology is incapable of religious conversions.

Dr. Dre couldn't even be on stage with duke at the time cause the images of Tupac they resurrected were on some "straight out the 'Hit Em Up' photoshoot" days, which was right around the time Pac uttered "gay ass Dre". Tupac was in pure Makaveli mode, dick swingin. They couldn't have brought out HoloPac again for "California Love" too when Dre rocked it? That song was much bigger than "2 of Amerika's Most Wanted".

still... the shit was fucking pretty impressive... even though it is morally dubious, slightly creepy, and undoubtedly questionable as an artistic creation.

remember when we thought the Biggie 'Born Again' album was something troubling, with cats remixing new, old and unheard Christopher Wallace verses into new songs?

that aint got shit on this amount of :naswtf: :ohsh:

the part that gets me most, is putting words in a dead man's mouth. Did Coachella even exist when Tupac was alive? Probably not. So how the fuck is dude gonna say "what up Coachella?!" THAT part was the most fucked up for me. :megaman:
