Why is House shoes so Irate over this being released?? Is Ma Dukes not seeing any money from this?? or did he not get paid for being on this or what?

Apparently the kid who released this used to be roommates with House Shoes from the looks of the twitter beef. Keeping up how many people trying to make money off of Dilla's is getting exhausting. Why are they still doing this?

House Shoes' debut LP drops the following week. Gotta keep the name fresh, yo. But honestly, I didn't even know other people knew who he was.

As for rapping over Dilla beats, it's better than beyond-the-grave BIG/Pac cameos.

Yeah, House Shoes people knew for helping out Dilla a lot. And when he passed, one of the main guys that tried to make sure his estate was together alongside Ma Dukes. But also, he was more so on the behind the scenes tip but his name circulated a lot more over time. That EP, "The Time" he just dropped is sick, btw.

Yeah Houseshoes was going in on that dude JT for backstabbing him and snaking his way into the Dilla camp. A lot of the shit in that rant lines up with what Houseshoes was saying about JT.

I was too until I heard it. I love Esham's early stuff but can't really get into anything past Maggot Brain, save for a few tracks here and there. He just sounds like he's phoning in his verses anymore.

But here's the video for it:

Is that a House Shoes dis at 1:27?

Esham doesn't sound bad on this, but am I wrong in thinking that sounds nothing like a Dilla production at all? Maybe there's some semblance of a beattape there, but it just sounds unfinished in the worst of ways.

Also, I know this may sound like heresy, but have you heard Esham's 2001 album 'Tongues?' I, no joke, think it's the best of his career. His brother and him just made a great sound scape and his performance is really inspired. I also like the 'Spankmaster' album they produced for Keith in that same era, probably the last Keith project I really enjoyed.
