That kinda came outta nowhere. Tracklist looks good. Roc Marci/Kool Keith collab should be interesting.

they've been working on this for a while, there was a mysterious teaser that explained nothing about 6 months ago. Red Apples is a small label in general , they do their thing far far under the radar. The fact that AG's Berriville and subsequent eps got either ignored or shitted on by idiotic true schoolers/borks for not having enough boombap didn't help things either. But I have a lot of confidence in these guys regardless.

This looks great, would've gladly swapped Dave Dar for some Stan Spit or Wali World, but I can't complain.

this came out yesturday

the highlights are incredible, the lows aren't terrible, so it averages out to dope but not quite as great as ag's berri album or marcberg or ka's album

the production is uniformly great, it holds everything together. AG, Marci and Kool Keith are the standout rappers, the rest range from serviceable to meh. a part of me really wishes the album was just the 3 i singled out. Keith especially sounds inspired, Remember U is the best thing i've heard from him in ages

def worth checking out, especially for 90s babies

This shit is great. Only weak song is the Dave Dar joint, who I've never heard of and won't be checking for. AG, OC, Kool Keith, and Roc Marci are all in top form, Kurious kills his spot too. Would love to hear more of Keith over these types of beats next to these types of MC's. I'm not a big Kool Keith guy, but he's probably got the best verses on here. Beats are amazing and unlike any other beats out there.

Still playing the shit out of this. For any of you dinosaurs bitching about Nas, check out an album from some 90's NY MC's that actually exceeds expectations.

Peep my review- http://thoughtontracks.com/2012/07/24/a ... st-luv-ny/

You can stream it on Spotify.

Kool Keith definitely comes correct, but I think A.G. kicked some of the best shit on here. Though, maybe it's just that these beats complement his style so well. Either way, I agree regarding the overall quality.

Keith recently dropped a mixtape that is really, really dope. http://totalorgasm.bandcamp.com/track/t ... sm-mixtape Makes me think I should check out his new album too.

In my review I said AG was the glue that held the album together, some of his best work. The Keith verses just had me giddy, especially after reading this interview with Ray West where West says they already have 30 songs recorded- http://oldtothenew.wordpress.com/2012/0 ... -ray-west/

Listened to that Keith mixtape too, I'd rather hear him over Ray West beats, but the mixtape was really solid. Really hope the majority of those 30 tracks see the light of day. Sounds like Ray West is a Kool Keith Stan, so I'm sure Ray'll want to try to make a classic record...which Keith seems reluctant to do these days. He could say just about anything over 12 Ray West beats though, and it'd be his best album in years.

Oh word, I hadn't seen that interview yet. Keith has been known to sit on albums for a long time. I remember one interview where he claimed to have an outrageous number of joints just sitting on the backburner. Also, earlier in the year he said that Love & Danger would be his last album: http://exclaim.ca/News/kool_keith_annou ... ove_danger

Maybe the sessions with Ray West re-inspired him. Fingers crossed.

yeah that's by far the worst thing on the album

pretty sure dave dar was the other half of bamboo bros with kurious, and i think usually stays on the production side of things

AG is that dude. As is Ray West. He's crazy with the jazz samples. Love that style
