Having not yet heard Reloaded yet (I know ... I've failed as a rap fan and a Long Islander), here's how my top 5 stands right now:

billy woods - History Will Absolve Me
Ka - Grief Pedigree
Tree - Sunday School
Lil Ugly Mane - Mista Thug Isolation
Aesop Rock - Skelethon

Is there any way we can keep certain posters from turning this thread into another shitshow of epic proportions? You can only son someone so badly before it gets old.

Future- Pluto
Killa Kyleon & Mouse - Welcome To The Fish Fry
E-40 & Too Short - History (40 did finally run out of steam lyrically this year but theres still a lot of joints on this)
Future - Pluto
Meek Mill - Dreamchasers 2, needs some serious trimming though

a few others I missed too. tbh, I havent been paying attention at all this year and my days of expecting a rap album of anyone are long gone

I would consider adding HD's Extortion Muzik 4 to the list as well.

Wow, most of you have HORRIBLE fuckin taste in Hiphop and Rap music... jesus fuckin christ! Guaranteed not one of you nerds is a Hiphop head cuz no damn Hiphop head would listen to most of the garbage that you clowns listen to. *shaking head*

Meek Mill? Rick "the fat fake fuck" Ross? Lil Ugly Mane? Billy Woods? E-40? Clams Casino? Typical Cats? Gaysop Rock? Get the fuck outta here, people! Jesus christ.

Here is my SUPERIOR list...

(1 through 5 in alphabetical order)
Beneficence - “Concrete Soul” (New Jersey)
D Strong & Dave Sparkz - “Uphold” (Los Angeles, California)
Epidemic - “Monochrome Skies” (Tampa, Florida)
Propo’88 & Blabbermouf - “From The Top Of The Stack” (Netherlands)
Roc Marciano - “Reloaded” (Long Island, New York)

(6 through 10 in alphabetical order)
Apollo Brown & O.C. - “Trophies” (Detroit, Michigan + Brooklyn, New York)
The Doppelgangaz - “Beats For Brothels, Vol. 2” (Upstate New York)
Large Professor - “Professor @ Large” (Queens, New York)
Meyhem Lauren - “Respect The Fly Shit” (Queens, New York)
Purpose & Confidence - “The Purpose Of Confidence” (New York)

Gotta shout out that Joey BADA$$ “1999” Mixtape along with other albums...

Action Bronson & Alchemist - “Rare Chandeliers”
Blu & Exile - “Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them”
Bumpy Knuckles & DJ Premier - “KoleXXXion”
Clear Soul Forces - “Detroit Revolution(s)”
Tha Connection (feat. Roc Marciano) - “Strive LP”
D Strong - “Rise And Shoot”
gENSu dEAn - “Lo-Fi Fingahz”
Kevlaar7 - “Die Ageless”
Masta Ace - “MA_DOOM: Son Of Yvonne”
Showbiz & A.G. “Mugshot Music: Preloaded”

And I must point out that I own, as in the CD or LP or both, EVERY release listed except for the 3 things that are mp3 only... 1999, Rare Chandeliers and Mugshot Music.

So because I'm from the Bay Area, I'm supposed to like that E-40 rap garbage? Get real. I'm a Hiphop head who listens to REAL MUTHAFUCKIN HIPHOP!! I used to like rap shit up until about 1994/95, but I never really gave a shit about E-40 cuz I always thought his slang was gay. I will say though, I've heard him a few times over the years come off nice, but those times were when he was featured on someone elses song... a Motion Man joint back in 2001/02 and a Talib Kweli joint back in 2003/04. He was also pretty good on the BET West Coast Cypher from last month. *shrugs*

I think the ten or so posters who represent a wide range of hip hop and consistently express the most intelligent viewpoints should pick their top five and then come to a consensus on a top 10. Then we can all bitch and complain/ critique that list. That would be more interesting than the "look at me I'm 30 and I like A$AP Rocky" vs the "look at me I'm 60 and I'm true skool 4 lyfe" back and forth that this thread will inevitably devolve into.

To be fair... Lugubrious is probably the most over the top song on the album. For an East Coaster (non-Three 6 fan) I'd recommend starting with "Throw Dem Gunz" and "Slick Rick," if you're not into it at that point you won't probably dig the other stuff.

Tree is right here: http://soundcloud.com/mctreeg/sets/sund ... xe-version
