So because I'm from the Bay Area, I'm supposed to like that E-40 rap garbage? Get real. I'm a Hiphop head who listens to REAL MUTHAFUCKIN HIPHOP!! I used to like rap shit up until about 1994/95, but I never really gave a shit about E-40 cuz I always thought his slang was gay. I will say though, I've heard him a few times over the years come off nice, but those times were when he was featured on someone elses song... a Motion Man joint back in 2001/02 and a Talib Kweli joint back in 2003/04. He was also pretty good on the BET West Coast Cypher from last month. *shrugs*

To be fair... Lugubrious is probably the most over the top song on the album. For an East Coaster (non-Three 6 fan) I'd recommend starting with "Throw Dem Gunz" and "Slick Rick," if you're not into it at that point you won't probably dig the other stuff.
