Remember the Nas "Hate Me Now" controversy from '99? Where the video premiered including shots of a crucified Diddy, leading to Puff cracking a bottle over Steve Stoute's head?

Of all the outlandish television moments to find new life on the internet, for whatever reason, this original only-aired-once crucified Diddy version of "Hate Me Now" has never resurfaced. Thanks man, and yes, the version where Diddy is crucified next to Nas was only ever aired once. It's also why I have VHS tape upon VHS tape at home of rap video world premieres in case anything ever changed dramatically in them again.

It debuted on TRL, but it was a heavily promoted premiere.

That was the last year of Yo! when there was no host and it was just an hour-long block of videos at 1:00 AM on Fridays.

Never saw the original video. Always thought they were lying about its existence to drum up publicity. The thing is: If they'd just edited Puff's part out surreptitiously after the premiere and he didn't crack Steve Stoute in the head with that Ciroc Peach, I doubt anyone would even have noticed a difference.

Nah i highly doubt it, i threw near enough all my old video's away when i moved, especially the bootlegs which this was, i'll have a look tho.
I think it was made by the same people that made this so you could keep your eye out for more of those, thats all i got when i googled it.
