solid mixtape like always
Re: Big K.R.I.T. King Remembered In Time
I download all this guys stuff, and every time I do, I think that this might be the one that works for me. But it's always a snoozefest. Rap background music. I think it's mostly Krit's production that I have problems with. I thought he came off hard on the last Roots LP. I dunno, I wanna like duke..

This is dope, and dude is so consistent that it might actually be working against him at this point...

Re: Big K.R.I.T. King Remembered In Time
It took me a while to come around, but after this and these last 3 releases I think it's time that the seriously acknowledge that this guy is one of the best rapper-producers currently active.
Re: Big K.R.I.T. King Remembered In Time
After a few listens I'm not that excited but usually his stuff gets better over time.
Hyped for the Yelawolf collab album though.

Resolved Question
Does Biggie Smalls hate HipHop???
"Shoulda been a cop, Fukc Hiphop"
I've been wondering what he meant by this.
Additional Details
Rap sucks, HipHop is better
Best Answer - Chosen by Voters
Naw, he likes hip hop and rap. He was just referring to if he hadn't started rapping he would've been a cop.
So he's cursing it, not that he doesn't like it, just for the sake of it.

after marinating with this album over the weekend, its pretty damn phenomenal. KRIT never fails to impress, and he bounces back after that mediocre label debut.
The joint he did with 9th Wonder is

Big Sant, Big K.R.I.T and Tito Lopez throw verses on the Crooked Lettaz and Noreaga "Firewater" instrumental.
It doesn't touch the original, but still nice to see the homage.

Re: Big K.R.I.T. King Remembered In Time
wasn't real impressed with the tribute song. too bad Grey Skies doesn't get talked about more when speaking on southern classics. Kamikaze is a friend of mine and basically had a local radio hit where he called out Banner. I don't know if Banner would ever do a CL reunion but I've heard several rumors coming from extremely close to the source.

do you happen to have "Kamikaze AKA Mr. Sho Nuff (Firewater Boy #2) " been looking for it for ages...catfish hunter wrote:wasn't real impressed with the tribute song. too bad Grey Skies doesn't get talked about more when speaking on southern classics. looks like Kamikaze wants to call himself Mr. Franklin now
and he keeps mention CL in most of the songs I listened to.

looks like you can get the AKA Mr Sho Nuff album from him directly. $7 Paypal.

Yes thank you man. Kinda sounds like K-Rino on the first song on the bandcamp imo.

Re: Big K.R.I.T. King Remembered In Time
Glad to see some interest in Kamakaze. Great guy/rapper who does honest work around here and has helped out tons of local rappers as well as being involved in the community. Can't say that for Banner at all. Only time he promotes his home is whenever it opportunistically benefits his sunken rap career in Atlanta.
Re: Big K.R.I.T. King Remembered In Time
banner's fallen off, so he gets what got coming to him in that respect. i liked when he did that track with dj shadow, though. that came out of nowhere.
