haha my homeboy texted me out of the blue "yo i heard that SMT music in a Science Channel commercial" then i said "Did you DVR it?" and he said he did and threw up the commercial on YouTube.

but I Shazam'd the commercial and it didn't bring up results, because the commercial had the song chopped up differently to fit the ad.

The SMT sample was slowed down from the version used in the commercial.
So, I got Ableton to pitch shift the SMT track to match the BPM of the song in the commercial.

Did that, then Shazam'd the pitch shifted SMT track and got the answer. Crazy that I thought of that, and that it worked.


and, today, i noticed someone did this last month.



it might be a stretch, but i wouldn't be surprised if that Kai Skywalker dude is spark.
