every song I've heard off this on youtube features RA just abandoning any type of flow for the fast, strung-together rhyming sentences steeze.

90 percent of his verses since that Uncommon Valor verse blew up have been like this.

I remember reading / hearing an interview a little while ago about how he used to spit those fast raps when he was younger in the streets and then dropped that for a while, so I think he's been doin' it, just not always on record. (It's like how Pun originally would say those packin' a mac in the back of the Ac' tongue twisters as a joke for fun and Fat Joe would tell him to use 'em in the studio.) But yeah, R.A. overdoes it now.

There are some songs that could have been left off of the album/seem like they're trying to hard to reach other audiences/do the fast rap thing too much (even though I get he used to do it in the past) but there are some really solid songs on it too. Ive been a big fan for years and I wasn't that stoked on this after hearing a few singles but after a few listens I really like some of the songs on it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0I8W3haDns chokes me up (nh) every single time, I can draw parallels to my passed away dad...

"I was in a lounge in NYC and these insane vocalists came on the radio, so I had someone Shazam it for me and the name “The Puppini Sisters” came up. I researched them and found out they were one of the leading new school swing groups of the modern era. I thought these girls were incredible vocally, so I I tracked them down when I was in the UK. Then one of my favorite producers, Mr. Green, randomly sent me a swing type of beat and when I heard it I thought it would be perfect for Marcella Puppini (the lead vocalist and founder of Puppini Sisters). So I sent it to her, she loved it, and we made the song for her upcoming solo E.P. It's different than what people are used to from me but I’m really proud of this one. it's like Film Noir mixed with Hip Hop and swing. I call it Hip Hop Noir. Classy and Hard at the same time. - R.A."
