Dope but the Cam'ron verse is recycled

Maybe now you guys will believe me when I tell you this album is awesome.

...No? It still sucks? OK, I tried.

i figured cam would either mail it in or reuse something, considering the nature of this thing. kinda glad it's the latter - i know bsbd were really cyced for this song so at least they got a good verse, even if it's not brand new. considering that general disappointment with Crime Pays will make the re-use less noticeable (as is obvious from the reaction to the song), it works well all around

It was DEFINITELY recorded again. I've listened to our track a millions times, the intonations are totally different. Flow, too. His flow is on beat on our song.

Its not that its off beat per se its just a time signature issue. U really don't notice all the same adlibs?

there's a triplet feel in the original one, but it's not a 3/4 or 6/8 beat or anything. you're reaching god

I think you're thinking of Young god, who's is Bsbd.
Correct never mind
Now you two are in the same thread debating whether a Cam verse was rerecorded or simply recycled from a YN song to a YG song. I'm buggin.

I kno that's funny the odds of this happening seems astronomically low. If their in seattle they prolly live at most 15min away from me too.

Where do you live? I live in Oakland now, but my partner still lives in Seattle.

If you listen to the whole thing in our song it ends entirely different from Cooking Up. Using the same adlibs doesn't prove anything. Rapper's adlibs become just as much a part of the song as their lyrics. For example, if I'm recording with Nacho, he'd literally do that same adlibs on a track if we came back to it a week later. Also His intonations are entirely different, and it only uses about 3/4 of the verse in our track. I could prove this by sending you the materials, but, for obvious reasons I can't do that. I'm not really trying to get into a long winded argument about it, cuz I shouldn't even care haha, but this is pretty damn funny that this is happening.

I live in kirkland just outside of seattle
Ur thinking of a rapper that's taking a bunch of time to record not someone like cam. I'm assuming u purchased this verse or was it a feature u got thru sas? I only listened for a second but it really didn't sound like it was recorded to this beat at all.

We didn't purchase it, SAS had it from a while back. The nore chorus is recent and was recorded on our beat, though. If you "only listened for a second" then you must just really like to argue. The verse ends differently. it's as simple as that. What more proof do you need?
