America WOULD TURN INTO A PRISON STATE IF EMINEM WAS KILLED BY HIP HOP GUNFIRE.

We would all be in stainless steel cages, eating the puke porridge from the Matrix, and we'd all be under MARSHALL'S LAW

that's what they would call it, in honor of "the greatest MC who ever breathed a word into the air"

Slim Shady would become Elvis Presley FOR. SURE.

I wonder what that room is like when Kim and Kanye hear this track. "Ugly Kardashian."

Does he laugh because he wants to or looks annoyed because he has to, even though its Em.

Everyone falls off at some point. But ten million people went and bought Recovery, and that's why we're here with another noisy, featuring-Pink ass sounding single from this guy.

Ten million...of Recovery. Mus' be 'luminati? or just wyte people?

Can Rick Rubin Save Eminem?

http://www.complex.com/music/2013/08/em ... zerk-mmlp2
Listening to Eminem now, and you'll hear someone whose love of the craft is apparent. You'll also hear someone who may have misidentified where his talents really lie, or who focused on only one or two of those talents, when there was a full package that made his earlier work so exciting. Rather than trying to make his verses seem effortless, it’s almost as if he’s now drawing attention to how much effort he’s putting into them.

Rick Rubin couldn't save Kanye's album from being a polarizingly interesting experiment in failure, why would he be able to save Eminem's?

for the record: this is one of the best Eminem articles I've ever read. This person KNOWS the truth about The Eminem Era.

why is Naughty By Nature listed in the writing credits to this song?

The line "Word, Rick, word man you heard" is a callback to Feel Me Flow - "Serve words with nerve embedded I said it word
Damn, you nerd man, you heard".

Not sure why that justifies a writing credit, but Em has always had a lot of respect for Naughty By Nature.

gotcha, thanks.

it's crazy now that cats like kanye are giving credit like that. kanye gave lords of the underground writing credit, even though kanye didn't sample them, just recited their vocals.

technically, they don't need to clear that, but i guess like you said they're sharing the wealth, and we know Em has loot.

speaking of loot, i just got lost in the internet and found out that Em's original roommate and Soul Intent collaborator, Chaos Kid, committed suicide in 2011, a year or so after he posted open letters to Eminem online asking for assistance, but not hand outs, after years of Eminem flaking out on him on just having basic talks. Shit that I found interesting, and that we'll probably never hear Em's side of the story on.

The song is GARBAGE!! And fuck that HORRIBLE beat. Also, LOL at a 40 year old (almost 41) Feminem bleaching his hair again. hahahahaha *shaking head*

The new album will be like all the others from the last 10 years... GARBAGE!!! And look at all the clowns who actually give a shit about this. Get real, people!

admittedly, i don't hate the song as much as i used to. but i still think it's a sub-par Eminem song, without question.

if there was a bunch of other great stuff out in the mainstream, then I'd not like this as much as I did at first.

but at least he's doing "his own thing", to whatever extent (though he's heavily taking audio and visual styles from the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, and a few other disposable heroes of hip hop history)

in the context of Eminem's own music, this is better than hot garbidge bottom-feeding shite like "Just Lose It" and "Fack", but only one or two levels better. this can't touch jems like "Kill You", "Live For The Moment", "Till Hell Freezes Over", etc.

the video does make the song more palatable... but what is up with Eminem staring into the camera like that? :naswtf:

so weird... but at least it's not trap cloud molly party crack rap   :cas: :rockout: :hooray:

(I havent heard it or bothered to watch the video because an Eminem song in 2013 is obviously terrible and lol at anyone who likes rap still paying attention to him)

I will expose YOUR ignorance now because you so felt the need to try and expose mine.

I made a reference to Michael Franti of Spearhead's original group, Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, and the timeless yet 'disposable' nature of all our legends in hip hop, which Eminem makes a variety of visual and audio references to in this video.

Are you familiar with Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, Kony Montana?

How many kids are going to know Eminem's referencing 'Going Back to Cali' at the end? :killacam:

so, to some of these new generation kids who don't care to type 15 letters to maybe findout why Eminem makes all these particular visual references in his video, THESE LEGENDS ARE DISPOSABLE. Did you know about Public Enemy before P.E. meant gym class, son?

Its been about 10 years since he did anything remotely good. You might aswell be debating the merits of David Guetta or Pink at this point.

Why not listen to something good instead of obsessing over the rubbish the A-listers like Jay and Em continue to churn out, just because its by them and therefore "important". People like you are killing rap music dude.

BET Cipher

and especially this

plus you keep whining and complaining that the things you are critically bitterly butthurt about being so popular, but where is the other stuff that is so fucking superior? i'm not saying it doesn't exist, but why are you not THERE supporting THEM instead of HERE detracting from THESE MCs? I always liked Eminem and Jay-Z at the same time that I liked Project Blowed and Def Jux. I'm happy enjoying both types of rap.

I like being aware of the entire hip hop universe, from the top of the pops to the everything that started at the bottom

I cant be bothered to elaborate so I'm just going to assume you know the point I'm making and are just being a fucking moron for the sake of it.

(the fact that the BET freestyle is one the better things Em has done in the last 10 years speaks volumes though)
