It seems that way. There's a bit of conjecture over on the Stones Throw boards but no one really knows whats up. He's no longer on the Stones Throw drop-down artists list, but his artist page is still there if you look for it. He allegedly had a three album deal - people are saying maybe they agreed that Oodles of Doodles, Rap Album One and Cassette on Vinyl fulfilled that obligation and the parted ways. Minerals and Gems is off an EP called Jonwayne is Retired so make of that what you will.
