I know this is a bit offtopic but I had absolutely no idea you were posting here!

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for creating Crooklyn Gangster. The beats are INCREDIBLE. Roc Boys has the nicest sample ever!

Sure thing man.

This album had three 'singles' posted online for the three weeks prior to the release date....

...first was "On The Run" feat. DJ Revolution, probably the closest thing to 90's boom-bap on the album: https://soundcloud.com/diamondmedia360/ ... revolution

...next was "It's Nuthin" feat. AG of DITC. The main sample in the beat has been described as sounding like you're marching off into the sunset at the end of a western: https://soundcloud.com/diamondmedia360/ ... in-feat-ag

...and last but not least, there was "I'm The City" feat. Boldy James & Statik Selectah...as GZA's "keep it brief son, half short and twice strong" line was on my mind during the making of the record, i decided to pay homage w/ a sample from "shogun assassin": https://soundcloud.com/diamondmedia360/ ... oldy-james

Could you please provide the name of the Roc boys sample you used? I'm dying to hear how you flipped the original, to be honest

YO...this is STUPID last minute, but 2DopeBoyz is holding a remix contest for one of the tracks, you can enter here: http://www.2dopeboyz.com/2013/10/11/2do ... n-the-run/

prizes are some threads, a watch, a spot on the cd release of the album, and possible bragging rights if your beat is better than mine
