Was rooting for the title to be "It's a matter of class' but such is life. Seems like the past few Atmosphere albums have been perfectly timed with the birth of the new child so I will enjoy the fuck out of this when I need to leave the house for a night drive just to keep my sanity.

While Southsiders is a celebration of the group’s fortitude, it is also a deeply introspective, and sometimes conflicted, work. “It’s a natural progression from the last record, The Family Sign, which was about growing my family,” says Slug, now a father to three, who finds himself contemplating mortality. “I’m starting to think, ‘What is post–family man? What am I supposed to rap about now?’ I’m sticking to my roots, rapping about what I’m doing, what I think about. This record is — much like the other ones — a very detailed look at my life.”

Never been a big fan, but I'm especially not feeling this sing-songy Slug voice ... or any aspect of this song at all for that point. As a matter of fact, every Atmosphere song I've listened to until this point has been at least "meh" to my ears. This is the first I've found myself vehemently disliking something they did. Bitter, I'm not. Just saying I don't like it. Beat sounds like a generic pop jingle to boot. Was that the point, or have Atmosphere descended to Avril Lavigne levels of suck? Seriously, I swear I'm not bitter. It's just really bad.

This isn't the best representation of their music. They definitely have some songs in their catalog you'd enjoy. I'm certain about that.

I would have to agree with Ric. The past few albums have all had leads like this. If I recall, You, Just For Show and now Bitter. Atmosphere is past the point of having consignment deals with HHI and UGHH, I think they wanna sell records and make good music.

however, we still use some live instruments to replay samples, because we hate other people's lawyers.

this song is rather different from the rest of the album.
i like it. i think it's goofy.
it's rare that we make red songs. this one is red.
the rest of the album is kinda dark. mostly blue and purple.
there is one orange song and one yellow song too.
