Why didn't anyone talk about this album?

Post by Rachel Hobozal »

One of my most played albums over the last few years. Shit is just great. How's the Mikah album? Factor's legit. Kirby's truly one of a kind. Get this album in your life.

No doubt. The one you want is called Champagne Nightmares.

Okay, I'm listening to this album right now and my first impressions aren't all that great. The beats are slightly above average, but this guy's voice is grating, and his rapping skills aren't up to par. But this is merely a first impression. I remember I didn't really like Run The Jewels the first time I listened to it but now it's one of my favorite EPs / albums. I'll probably write something more substantive once I've listened to it a couple of times.

You're trippin'. Keep listening. Kirby's got tons of skill as far as rhyming (freestyle, written, cadence, wordplay, charisma, and originality up the fucking yin yang). You can't listen to the video above for Orca and tell me that shit ain't tight.

I've been listening to One Way Ticket and Champagne Nightmares, and I'm starting to get into this guy, Kirby's, whole style. After doing some research on him, it seems that he's been quite prolific (he started rapping in the 90s). Does anybody here have indepth knowledge on his non-Paranoid-Castle stuff?
