Sour Soul is a collaborative studio album from Canadian jazz instrumental hip hop band BadBadNotGood and Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah. It is scheduled to be released Worldwide on February 24, 2015.[1]
I think the collabs have to do with Frank Dukes' involvement more than anything else, he's the one guy involved here that's worked with all the others individually on other projects.
Is this streaming anywhere? I saw review posts and figured it was just from press copies, there's no mention of the actual release anywhere.
I'd pre-ordered the vinyl, having elected to cop this over 36 Seasons if only for the sake of collectibility. Looking forward to hearing it. Didn't even realize there was a collaboration with TREE on here. Fuck yes.
Philaflava wrote:well fuck me then. the beats are cool. collabos seem weird with the exception of doom. it's a very short EP but might be better than 36 IMO.

can you explain how a 12 track album is an EP?
can you explain why this even matters?
this could be labeled an EP, LP or Turdblossom, it will still contain the same music.
I want to like this much more than I do, and there are some redeeming elements...but Ghost really is just a shell of what he used to be. Its like Jordan with the wizards
I look forward to hearing the new project. I saw interviews recently and a few years back where Ghost confessed his lack of inspiration and that he doesn't write like he used to just because of the overall state of Hip Hop. I remember another where he mentioned people don't want to think nowadays when it comes to Hip Hop about a year ago.
