Because of his struggles he is forced to do shit that he shouldn't be doing. See Eso is well off, he can lure in the likes of Deck to do these collabs. Helps with sales, cred and whatnot. But for Deck, it's just a bad look. Nobody and I mean nobody outside of Boston is checking for an Eso verse. Production is probably sick as hell tho.

To be fair, when I went to school in Boston 2003-2007 he co-headlined basically every hip-hop show in the area. Like, it was a given that Esoteric was hosting the event if not on the bill with 7L. Bostonians are zealous when it comes to hometown pride, so I'm sure there's still a huge audience for him there. Plus, at this point he's probably invested some of that $.
