RIP. Important dude, part of a lot of classics and a very kind, genuinely welcoming person.

He had some dope music, but definitely a guy who's impact was way beyond just the music he made. One of the great connectors/ambassadors of underground rap in NYC in the late 90's especially.

yea this, whenever he comes up in conversation now it's often more about him being on the scene and being involved in putting stuff together than the music itself

Didn't know him well but every time I talked to him he was super nice, cool, and respectable. RIP.

I'm glad to see major music outlets showing him love but it's a shame that it takes dying for some people to get recognition.

peace to Pumpkinhead forever.

a wonderful hip hop head on every level of life. treated people with honor and dignity, and was LEAGUES ABOVE the typical greezy selfish New York hustler identity. Was a naturally good human being with a gentle soul and kind heart. Hip hop never has enough dudes like PH :owens:

good homie, and one of the first NYC heads to show love to Toronto and get love from Toronto. He was friends with lots of cats around here too, and always got love and respect when he rocked the spot here.

that big husky voice and super big smile will be missed. but it will live on forever in the music and in our memories.

peace to everyone who ever met Pumkinhead and showed him love. that dude did SO MUCH for hip hop culture, starting from the Makin' Records days. Love to the homie and peace to his family.
