Only problem with this was on most of them he drops a short verse and then just lets the original ride out. The 'Lions Paw' joint on there over the Mass Appeal beat is dope though.

This mixtape isn't great. Most of these loops are way too well known and overused.

Cuban Linx II was really the end of the run, right? I mean does anybody really think any of their albums (solo or group wise) is worthwhile after that? Sure there might be individual cuts here and there, but you can't really say you "check for the Wu" anymore can you?

I still check Ghost's albums when they come out, and they aren't horrible (in fact as far as storytale/concept rap albums he's had some solid writing on his last couple), but I can't usually throw them on more than a couple times.

Also you can't really just chalk it up to "well it's hard to compare a rapper now to his old classics" rhetoric when Scarface and Dr. Dre dropped two of the better releases this year (in an admittedly down year).

Unfortunately Wu in 2015 isn't really worth discussing, unless you want to discuss their output between about '93 and '00 (or Ghost, Rae, GZA, & Meth's for a few years after that), in which case we can talk all day.

No, more like Liquid Swords. It is said that to produce that album RZA had to live on turkey burgers and diet coke for weeks on end. You can tell that the lack of proper nutrition around '95 led to him reaching a creative dead end.

Shout outs to Ironman though ...

Exclusive: FBI probed Wu-Tang Clan link to 2 Staten Island murders, new documents show

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Newly-released documents from the federal trial of two Staten Island drug kingpins show the FBI was looking into whether the Wu-Tang Clan ordered the murders of two drug dealers in 1999.

The victims, those documents revealed, may have been marked for death in part because they robbed the family members of two of the famed Staten Island rap collective's founding members, RZA and Raekwon.

Now, the lawyer of one of those drug kingpins is asking for more police reports about the rap group's alleged involvement, as his client's sentencing looms.

In a new interview with Let’s Link Radio, the Wu Tang veteran claims that his long-anticipated joint album with DOOM will be released in February.

“I talked to DOOM’s people. DOOM is ready now,” states Ghostface. “He’s been had the material, so he said he wants to drop that in February.”

Last we heard, the album was going to be called DOOMSTARKS – whether that’s still the case is unsure. Stream the pair’s track ‘Lively Hood’ below.

As well as that album, Ghostface says that he’s finishing the sequel to his classic Supreme Clientele: “To all real rap heads, that’s gonna be a monster. I’m proud of that project. I just hope every sample gets cleared. And then they’ll see what I’m talking about.”

The W was decent, the production was lacking when compared to previous albums, but is not a weedplate by any means.

Edit- when I say production was lacking, I mean individually the majority of tracks were good. It just didn't feel as cohesive as previous albums.

Iron flag had about 3-4 joints on it. Could probably be condensed into a great EP. This is where as a group they went left IMO.
