don't think so. think it's more of a commentary on rappers in general.

I always thought the tail end of the Zero Dark Thirty first verse on the last album was a pretty clear El diss.

I remember there being talk about how El wasn't giving Def Jux artists the money they were promised while spending tons on his coke habit.

Something like that, would make sense in context with these lyrics.

M-m-moral compass all batshit
Spinning in the shadows of immoral magnets
Are we supporting the artist or enabling the addict
I mean, I guess it matters to me
I wish it mattered to you
How a thousand virtues
Kick the same bucket like chinatown turtles

Not sure if it's a real beef but I believe someone pointed out before how they don't follow each other on twitter. And they seem to retweet album releases from other old Jukies but not one another. Clearly something went down.

Saw him last night with Rob Sonic. Both guys were like wet dogs after the show. They completely put 110% into their set. I was memorized how Aes doesn't bump into things or falls off stages with his eyes closed that much. Really dope show.

Saw Rob Sonic outside the venue before the show. I say "what up" and he comes over to me and says "I just saw Gloss the other night." Cool that he instantly recognized me from the :phila:

Another great show! Love watching these guys perform.

Rob is that dude. Seriously, I saw more groupies run up to him than Aes after the show. Guy must have a horse cock.

Indy, Cincy, and the Lou??? might have to hit up a couple of those. Missed the last tour with Sandman, so really looking forward to this one.

I just don't feel this music that much and I used to be a huge huge fan. the aesop Blockhead/El p marriages capture things that the self produced stuff doesn't touch. it's like a lack of intensity or something. I don't know I can't place it.

I have to disagree because None Shall Pass (which is at least half self-produced IIRC) is my favorite album of his, and I enjoyed Skelethon (maybe entirely self-produced?) a lot too. However, Impossible Kid didn't get nearly as much replay for whatever reason.

@versive
i agree that none shall pass is mostly dope. fast cars danger fire knives half dope. skelethon? forgettable. therefore didn't check the new album.
