not 100% sure what your point is but it reminded me most of tip's last solo. which was underrated cause he didn't have the group name attached. tip & bust have a good vibe going, they should just form a new group (they kinda did). phife sounded clinically sick and jarobi is only there for the name.

beats rhymes & life however is a blassic, fam. yeah i know they let quence rap (ew). but it's better than dying phife & the hypeman.

This LP was like a noughties Beastie Boys album featuring the literal Lil' Half Dead, Q-Tip's chef, and the world's worst Shaggy impersonator.

Amplified had more joints than this album.

It was better than I expected, that’s for sure. Had some cuts. Had duds. Glad they got one more out before phife passed. Cool to see they were in a good place before too. That was the important thing.

BR&L I kinda hated at first. Then by the end of '96 I warmed up to it. Nowadays, I skip a lot but the one thing I hated the most I ended up loving the most too, and that was Dilla's production. Consequence can fall back tho.

Phony Rappers, Get A Hold, Jam, The Hop, Keep It Moving, 1nce Again are all classics.
