La Reid and a few others have now publicly stated that prior to Phife's passing, there was a new ATCQ album recorded and it will be released soon.

Beyond Excited.

I'm sure that it could be some BS or that it could have some recorded Phife verses where he maybe wasn't in the studio (if he was at all) but I always, absolutely ALWAYS give Q Tip the benefit of the doubt and pretty much know that if he is the one behind it or working on it, it's going to be good. If this was some random shit that a label put together I wouldn't be very excited, but anything Tip is involved in gets me excited without question.

Hoping they don't do Phife dirty on this.

yeah me too though, although i doubted him for a while his solo stuff got better and less self indulgent.

i gotta keep expectations low just for the sake of not disappointing myself. possibilities:

1. this report is kinda BS & there's no album
2. they recorded some shit but it never comes out
3. " but it's wack and pasted together and they're trying to cash in off phife (RIP)
4. it's actually good? phife looks unwell in all those recent photos...

one way or the other i'll give it a look. thought tip & phife didn't get along towards the end tho.

If we can get 2 or 3 good songs out of this, it'd be worth it.

this will be one i will buy and force myself to like, even if i hate it. i know what to expect, but this is something i must own.

Nobody gives a fuck about legacy anymore. The best bands are the ones who die young so they don't get a chance to tarnish, imo

Heard there was a listening party last night so that's where the leak is most likely from cuz a few people told me the quality is off. I'mma wait for the official audio.

1st thoughts. Not bad. Glad they kept the features to "family" mostly. Cons, Busta. Nice to see Andre on there.

i didn't have crazy expectations for the album, i was simply looking forward to hearing what they brought. upon my first listen, definitely liking the vast majority of it. production is solid and group vibe is cohesive throughout. better than expected regardless

I'll have the official 320 mp3 album at Midnight so after puffin I'mma listen in full. Can't wait. I pre-ordered the Vinyl LP which came with the 320 mp3 album.

I listen the album three times in the row , nothing catched my ear.... album is not bad , but i wont listen again....

I just DL'd the official 320 mp3 version and fixed up the properties + tagged everything right...
