I don't think Daily Operation is the best album here, but it's my favorite. I love Whut? Thee Album and The Predator too.

I remember bumping Mecca & The Soul Brother the most out of all that summer though I let the tape rock on all of them almost the same amount excessively, the damn tape deck was overheating at one point. Me and my cousin had a ball as teens, performing the chorus scratches to some of the songs in the air with our hand every now and then. I grew up within a short walking distance from where the video to Mecca was shot, aka Grants Tomb in Harlem.

This one is really hard. Mecca, Daily and Stunts are 3 of my favorite albums of all time.

I'm going with Redman, though. I was all about Redman in 1992.

Not sure I would pick that today if I were presented with all of these albums for the first time, but Redman was the man that fall.

Brand Nubian. A lot of this list aged poorly.

Tough choices here. Went with Bizarre Ride since I pretty much took in a lot of influence from that album. All the rest, I got into a little bit later on as time went by. In particularly, In God We Trust, Mecca & The Soul Brother, Dead Serious, and Check Your Head.

It was me. Shit was hot and it was the second CD I ever shoplifted (back when the packaging was like 3 times the size of the actual CD) the first being TLCs first joint.

Pretty tough! Chose Daily Operation for obvious reasons. Fuckin love that album! I listened to pretty much all of those albums when they came out A LOT (except Beasties and Quik) back then as I bought them all on the day they dropped on CD...

Two points:

That EPMD album is highly overlooked. They were ahead of their time early, and on this album many caught up and they settled into the groove that coincided with what was poppin at the time. A lot of joints on this album..



And secondly, I have to add this shit. Thread no complete without this. Retarded. As good as anything released that year..

Was a big Ice Cube fan and played the shit out of The Predator when it came out but the one I would listen to most often these days would be Brand Nubian. Its aged really well imo.

Dont Sweat The Technique definitely needs to be on this list, and although this probably isnt quite in the league of the other albums mentioned its still dope

Yeah, I might've have picked that G Rap album, gets more spins today than all the others for me even if I don't rock it straight through

Pete Rock & CL and it's not even close.

Always think of Pharcyde as more of a 93 album. Amazed it's winning this poll.
