From Ski:
So before Camp lo's "Uptown Saturday Night" we recorded like 10 songs that never made it to that album this is one of them "Piece Of the Action" recorded this in my apt in 1995 from the up and coming album "On The Way Uptown" the uptown Saturday night demos!!

Uptown Saturday night was one of my favorite albums post 96. Love Ski's production and obviously they had a style and flow like no other. I've checked for their shit over the years with mixed feelings, although mostly semi positive to positive. But to hear 10 or so joints from 1995? Really looking forward to this.

He's been teasing this on twitter for a bit now with no date and I've been drooling. But I'm kinda disappointed the first song from it is something that's already been out for ages. If it's all songs from the non album singles and the demos that have been around it will be a shame.

I'm just hoping for a couple of great unheard joints. Based on what they did and what Jay robbed, there has to be at least a few good joints.

the vibe of that video doesn't match the song that well.

song sounds like some 3AM Stretch and Bob life.

I haven't been excited about any of their output since their verses on "Limelighters".

also, I wish someone could dig up their video for "Troubleman / Crookers" and post it on YouTube.
I saw it a few times in my life on one of them muzak music video DVDs they'd give to
Journey's stores back in the day.

Yeaaa, but I mean it's only a testament to the uber-fandom of this online community in particular that we already have all of those tracks you're talking about compiled in like 3 dope collections.

I listened to this album today while I was cleaning the crib. Some good joints for Camp Lo fans on here. I listened to 2/3 of the album. Although the skits are annoying and not every track is dope, there were def some solid joints to rock on repeat. Can see myself making a very solid EP out of this.

They've got World Heist and Piece Of The Action on Spotify/Amazon/iTunes etc now but the former has a new coda which wasn't on the o.g song:

Camp Lo - World Heist

Notable because the coda samples the best song from the Coffy soundtrack:

Roy Ayers - King George

whole thing is streaming on youtube too. it's padded out with some pretty well known stuff as expected but the really unreleased stuff is as great as you'd hope it would be

Hollywood At The Disco over the same sample as Crush On You is sounding like the highlight of the previously unheard tracks imho

Superfly for me I think, it skirts the same mildly psychedelic space as early Outcast and Dare Iz-era Redman.

Get It Inta Ya randomly reminds me of Killarmy

I like that they included outtakes of the album tracks, even if Luchini and Black Connection versions don't really do much themselves. It makes this thing feel like a scrappier and a bit weirder alternate version of the debut.

It's funny that the mildly shady 2 volume Best Of thing, which had some of these demo tracks on it, seems to have completely vanished off the internet. It used to be on Amazon and other digital stores.

I noticed the same thing. I missed the boat on the best of 1 and 2 joints. Could never find them again
