Making a 00s list is much harder because you can't lean as much on nostalgia and an established cannon.

But I'll give it a go... so hard to narrow it down to just 25!!!

cLOUDDEAD - I Promise Never to Get Paint on My Glasses Again
Deep Puddle Dynamics - We Ain't Fessin' (Double Quotes)
Pedestrian - Sermon on the Subject of Death, Part One
Doseone - Re: The Rarity of Meaningful Experience
Alias - Jovial Costume
Sole - Suicide Song
Sage Francis - Inherited Scars
Buck 65 - Centaur
13 On God - Soft Atlas
DJ Mayonnaise - Post Reformat
Eyedea - Bottle Dreams
Themselves - Oversleeping
Josh Martinez - Pork Rind Disco
Odd Nosdam - Up In Flames
Sixtoo - Grimey Inks the Moment
SJ Esau - Death Perception Lack
Dosh - Um, Circles and Squares
Darc Mind - Knight of the Round Table
Peeping Tom - Your Neighborhood Spaceman
Jel - To Buy A Car
Why? - Miss Ohio's Nameless
Telephone Jim Jesus - Untitled Private Landscape
Controller 7 - Bunny Slippers
Restiform Bodies - Sippy Cup
Passage - Poem to the Hospital
Whether to Jason of Philaflava or John Podesta, I will speak my fucking perspective openly

Nas- Made You Look
Jay-Z - U Don't Know
Clipse- Nightmares
MF Doom- Deep Fried Friendz

Prodigy- Return Of The Mac
Q-Tip- Dance On Glass
Kanye- Touch The Sky
Max B- Live Comfortable
Ghostface - Mighty Healthy
Mos Def- Auditorium
Mos Def- Priority
Q-Tip- Believe
Kanye - Gone
Raekwon- Catalina
Nas- Theifs Theme
Jay- Z- Allure
Jay-Z - Dear Summer
Jay-z - Kingdom Come Intro
Rae, Ghost, Meth - New Wu

Hello everyone! Fucked up my old account, innit. Typed this out back in Feb waiting for my new one to get activated and only realised today it was working. Anyway...

Always tricky, these lists. Will I appear less rounded if I admit I didn't like anything Cash Money ever put out etc?

This is my list based on number of plays, although no artist is included twice. Strange results (I wouldn’t name those as my favourite Tribe or Mobb Deep tracks) but I like the list. 80s choices skewed by house party playlists I think, although I do honestly prefer the more uptempo UK stuff from them days, and we were also force fed a lot via Dance Energy and the like.
