Pick One 4/25
I have an idea of how this board is gonna vote but on Facebook it went kinda different.
Re: Pick One 4/25
Supreme Clientele. Ghost and Red are two of my favorite mc's but Dare Iz a Darkside isn't even Red's best, while SC is Ghost's best, and possibly even the best Wu solo project.

Tough one.... going with Ghost but it's kinda close for me, these albums have different kinds of appeal and I'm deferring to SC simply having more of what the kids would call 'bangers'

I've read that redman claims he was so fucked up on drugs during the era of Dare Iz a Darkside that he doesn't remember any of the studio sessions.

Read the same shit too. I happen to think its his best album. If Funkaroma was on this, it would have been a wrap.
Re: Pick One 4/25
Never really appreciated it when it first came out, but Dare Iz A Darkside really grew on me a couple of years later on. It's gotten to the point where I think it's Red's best album to date and as horribly cliché as this might sound, I certainly think it was way ahead of its time.
Supreme Clientele is really fucking dope, but Dare Iz A Darkside gets my vote.

no this is pretty on pointSpartan wrote:as horribly cliché as this might sound, I certainly think it was way ahead of its time.
the sameyness thing applies more to Muddy Waters than this one imo, it's great but a much 'safer' album

Dare Iz A Darkside always had this murky depressed feel to it imo, like something I would want to turn on while I'm in bed shivering from the effects of the flu. Supreme Clientele represents a boost of energy and confidence to me, something to play on on day when I'm feeling great and ready to take on the world, especially a song like "One". I'm gonna go with Supreme Clientele.
