Horrible match-up. DC one of the greatest albums of all-time. It is arguably a top 5 hip-hop album ever. This is like comparing Barry Sanders to Lesean McCoy.

I disagree. I think Mr. Scarface is hugely underrated. I'm Dead is the best song on either album imo. Summer Vacation is a point for DC. I think these are highly comparable albums and I think DC gets overrated on here... Mr. Scarface is one of the most underrated albums of all time imo... in reality DC might not even be a top 5 album of 1991... with low end theory... de la soul is dead... mr. scarface... breaking atoms... organized konfusion... step in the arena is a favorite of mine but I can see people saying it's not in the same world as DC... I think DC just hit a lot of people for it's racial tone... I would say DC is a top 5 of 91 but not all time HH albums ever...

DC wins but Mr scareface is a total classic album. Let's not pretend that shit is like some throw away.

this would be akin to something like word...life up vs. low end theory...we can all differ on the size of the gap btwn the two records but in terms of votes it should be a shutout

I think even that comparison isn't fair. MR Scarface is back is an amazing album. Times up isn't even really a classic front to back.
I don't think it's BETTER than DC but I don't think the comparison is that insane.

Mr. Scarface is a great album.
However, the mix sounds like shit.
I wish Dr. Dre could go back and fix all the classic albums that sound terrible.
