Gravediggaz was cool when I was 15 but a couple of tracks aside I can't really get on with that kind of lyrical content anymore.
Been playing a fair bit of Goodie Mob recently as I never got beyond the singles back in the day

6 feet deep by a mile

RZA was easily the best on the mic in his career during the 6 feet deep recording sessions. His performance on that album blows me away every time I listen to it. His verse on Graveyard Chamber is absolutely insane.

6 Feet might not have aged the same as Soul Food, but Prince Paul was at his best on here. The production, sampling was just on another level. And agree, this was RZA's best performance.

for my personal tastes Gravediggaz is closer to home but in the grand scheme of things Soul Food was likely more important/had more impact etc

you still see Southern fans talk about Soul Food changed their world view etc

6 feet Deep. I actually prefer Still Standing to Soul Food. And Sould Food didn't really do anything new especially compared to 6 feet Deep.

ayo drizzdawg, you know I almost respect you and all but these people that you are referring to are retards, imo.

i'm sure you know more about this than the people who actually grew up in the south with this music as the soundtrack

ayo drizzdawg, don't try to play me like an Ithe. I did grow up in the south and specifically when this came out AND anyone who lets any album "change their world view" is a retard by default.

I love "6 feet deep" but Soul Food is a better album.

6 Feet Deep. Not close.

Soul Food is great but I'm much more attached to their singles from this period. I like the instrumentals better than a lot of the actual songs.

RZA was great on both of the first two Gravediggaz albums. If "6 Feet Deep" was RZA at his best, the '97 version between the Gravediggaz and Wu-Forever was his second best. It was kinda downhill once Bobby Digital became a character, although he had his moments with that style.

"Soul Food" is really a good album, and while I can't say the production or rapping is better than "6 Feet Deep," it has really grown on me over time. It seems to have aged well, whereas the whole Gravediggaz schtik seems a little more dated.

Both are great in their own ways and difficult to properly rate against one another, but I guess it'd be "Soul Food."

Album covers: gravediggaz have no text on the cover which is always good. Goodie Mob looks like they're praying for food, the shit don't even make sense.

Not to mention that Khujo damn near single handedly fucked up spaghetti forever with the so what's the ingredient? Spaghetti plus her monthly flow line

Also, CEE-Lo often wears a moo moo.

If this was a battle over album covers, that Gravediggaz album is near GOAT status

Is it fair to vote Gravediggaz if I've never listened to Soul Food? 6 Feet Deep is one of my all-time favorite albums.

M2C is not for your long winded unfunny stupid bullshit. It's up to you to remember that you are a faggot and post accordingly. Make your posts brief and to the point. Please. And let's never interact again.
