Same with Deck. Masta Killa and U-God on none.

I actually dug those compilations that came out between the last two albums. Legendary Weapons was one of them.

The radio single of this was dope IMO, haven't heard the rest yet, but I'll check it.

Looks like a total cash-grab, but I still fux with the lead single 'People Say' ft Redman. Plus Allah Mathematics is a dope producer, so I'm gonna reserve judgement till I hear it. Best to just go in expecting nothing....and hopefully be surprised.

It's pretty bad. Some of the hooks are beyond laughable.

Really just because masta and u god are not in it you wont lisen ? Masta killa should be on it i agree , u god is dope sounding in the collective but is anyone really missing him for this? Most rag on anything he does anyways. And masta killa Just released a full album. Raekwon made his own wu album anyone remember that? Does anyone recognize how much wu members are still making music. And its all very Wu -style rooted , still. Of course the original albums are classics and the original solos . doesnt mean the rest are bad for fucks sake

I haven't listened yet so I won't pass judgement at all. I never do that. If it is dope, I will say so, but I am also not going to just say it's dope because it "sounds" Wu" and there are 2 good songs. That's no better than hating on it for no reason. Objectivity is the key.

me: this is a shitty rap album when compared to all other rap albums I could be listening to.

someone else: you hate the wu tang!!!

I think masta Killa might be on the song credited to Street Life.
That track also has the lone GZA verse on the album.

If you want a good Mathematics produced album, listen to "Love Hell or Right".
I bought it on CD back in 2003 or whenever the hell Nature Sounds released it.

U God and Cappa have been carrying the Wu torch for years... so has Math so knowing this is an entirely produced Math album is definitely a plus to this but I mean look at that fucking artwork... I agree its become cool to hate the wu tang these days but some of the things going on in recent years are insane... method man saying things like "and I don't have to sneeze to get atchu" isn't helping... LOOK AT THE COVER OF THE CD... to have all of those features and have minimum or no MK, U God, Cappa, Rae, Deck, is pretty offensive... this shit might produce a few bangers, it might not, I haven't listened and probably never will, but lets not pretend that people are being ridiculous in trying to protect whatever shreds of a legacy the wu have left... the only thing not making them a complete joke at this point is rae having the goons touch joe budden and action being put in check by poppa wu... proved they still cant be clowned or sonned by anybody... but as far as musically they have fallen off horribly and its painful to watch

Edit: Nice to see Loyalty is Royalty finally dropped... I'll be sticking to that and the new Meyhem

i feel that if people are petty enough to still say action bronson sounds like ghost, might as well consider willie the kid's output also.

some/most of the production is solid. meth steals the show and rae still sounds good. ghost is sounding older and uninspired as ever. as noted above, some of the hooks are horrendous but the album is better than the last official wu album.

Have only skimmed through but I had the same feeling the other night listening to it... A lot of the leaks around the time didn't make it and were put onto another project that came out "selling my soul"... doesn't seem like anything comes out when it should or how it should anymore... Hip hop is dead...

I'm curious what expectations people have for stuff like this going into it?

Wu will always be my favorite group by a large margin but nothing they've done collectively or individually in this decade would actually make me want to listen to this. The best outcome I can image is 'this sucks less than I expected it too', which is pretty bleak. A small miracle like that Tribe album is possible but there was far less evidence of those guys falling off than there is in this case.
