it's mostly about what's new. Young or old, that's typically the way it is.

lotta dinos need to hear this. my rotation is heavily centered around this year's releases in any given year. it's comfy to go back to your fav shit but more exciting, much more rewarding, to discover something new that you genuinely fw. after all how many times (a month) can you go back & play liquid swords again?

There are really very few actual rappers left. The rest are talentless pieces of shit with multi-colored hair, tight ass jeans, and the inability to do anything beyond mumbling or mumblsinging.

For me the best rapper since the early 00's is The Jacka. When he died a few years ago I more or less stopped caring about rap. These two things aren't completely related but to a certain extent they are.

New rap sounds either gay or boring to me generally speaking. I hate that I turned in to Jaz as early as my late twenties so I have more or less decided to be "out of touch" instead of whining about it. It's a young man's genre and if you're of a certain age you should feel embarrassed about listening to Drake or the interchangeable androgynous mumblers who are popular these days but that's not my problem. That being said I'm sure there is still good stuff being made.
