Exceeding all of my expectations. Zero commercial appeal. I haven’t heard a single new way to eat pussy. This is fucking fantastic. This is what you get when you give a guy 5 years to make an album. This is god damn amazing.

HOW THE FUCK IS SOSAMANN ON CARTER 5. What a great surprise.
Owl Pharoah era Travis Scott is dope.
Kendrick shit is great, and I’m not a big fan.
When the Xxxplosive sample kicks in on the Snoop track.
Special Delivery.
The intro.
The end of the album.

Not sure where this ranks for Wayne, but holy shit it’s better than I would have ever imagined.

holy shit, apparently PharmaDouche did have this Kendrick/Weezy song years ago :ohsh:

Carter V >>>>>>>>> Carter IV
but
Carter III >>>>>>>> Carter V
Kendrick shit is great, and I’m not a big fan.
When the Xxxplosive sample kicks in on the Snoop track.
The end of the album.
 fuck yes. Hella impressive moments. Last song is my favorite song. Sampha FTWWWW

I can't rate the intro when Weezy mispronounced XXXtentacion's name to make that dope metaphor :bunk:
and I would appreciate 'Uproar' {Special Delivery} more if they flipped the beat a little more than G Dep :fail: but the lyrics are pretty hardbody

Lil Wayne interestingly does NOT have Drake on the album, but does have Nicki Minaj, and that says a lot about how Weezy feels about Drake's current Young Money affiliation
there's two songs that totally are OVO-ish but they got no Drizzy, that Sosamann song being one of them

Dope New Gospel is my other favorite song
this is a GOOD RAP ALBUM in 2018
not a classic rap album, but just one man fucking RAPPING his face off and flowing like a motherfucker
NOT MAD AT CARTER V
:cas:

It's not very good. And it sounds like it's just a mix of random songs thrown together. Not very cohesive. For something he fought so hard to get put out I kind of thought there was going to be a pretty solid project here.Meh.

Yawn. Logic new album tho :gyeah:

Edit: I wish the Lox song had survived.

The special delivery flip is a nice surprise.

Wayne singing vocals are unbearable on some of these tracks, the way theyre compressed or whatever. Has been a problem in the past too.

like is the Logic album REALLY fucking worth my life moments? :killacam: :killacam: :fail: :fail: :bunk: :bunk: I heard him bust a freestyle over the 'Bring the Pain' beat to hype the album, and it was the fucking CORNIEST lyrically-lyrical spiritual miracle rappity rap I heard in ages. Dude technically has some rhyme skill, but he CORNY AS FUCCCCQUE beyond redemption. And I heard a few people say 'Logic album better than Wayne, on the lo-lo' and I'm like :kanye: :save: :retard: :jaz: :stick: :deform:

yeah the Lox song shoulda stayed, we sad out chea now

Uproar is coo but needed to be flippity flipped sum' mo'

and yeah the vocals are compressed weird in some places. I didn't think it was Dwayne rapping at times. But at least he's doing HIM and spitting verses. It's not Carter 3 timeless BEST RAPPER ALIVE WEEZY F.ENOMENAL brilliance on Carter 5, but it's NOT Carter 4's bloated trash. Too bad Carter V isn't actually better than No Ceilings or Dedication 5 or a couple of the other mixtapes, but it's still better than most rap in 2018.

Carter V is not a great album in the grand scheme of hip hop history... but in 2018, it's a pretty good album. I did also think he'd do something more cohesive and legendary for an album so historic and so delayed... but it clearly wasn't his pinnacle priority in the last few years. It was an old promise that he just decided to keep, also maybe as a "eat a dick" consolation award to Baby, he just wants Carter V out in any way because it got shelved by CMB politricks.

The Skepta song, yo

Kendrick Lamar's "Mona Lisa" appearance eclipses literally the whole album.

He didn't ether Wayne; he killed the whole damn album.

Lil Wayne's lyrics on 'Mona Lisa' are awesome too though... best girlfriend set-up song ever probably, LOL

both are underwhelming
but I'm definitely listening to a few songs on Carter V more
the only song on the Eminem soundtrack I can listen to is the song for the Venom soundtrack, it's the only actual really good beat on the album :fail:

Some of us here are forgetting how solid c4 was.

I'd like to hear a collection of c5 unrealeses. D'usse, believe me, krazy, the lox joint.... Anything else?

Carter IV is some of Wayne's WORST music. Malek, you my dude, but I ain't witcha on that opinion.

I thought "if Carter V was along the same lines of content that Carter IV was, then Birdman had every right to shelve that shitbag."

Nice to hear it's better than Carter IV, which I don't really hear or feel people returning to. They go back to nuff random Wayne songs and mixtapes... but not there. Let's just not talk about that album and all the guests on it that kinda smoked Wayne on his own shit but also were phoning in weak ass verses too

6 Foot 7 Foot is a fun song but it clearly is an attempt to recreate A Milli's success, and it's not as good

but it's fun and Cory Gunz is a beast, but it's not even like Anything and Hard Knock Life by Jay-Z, cause Anything is a sequel song that actually is better than the original successful formula

ultimately... Lil Wayne clearly needs a better executive producer. :naswtf: :killacam:  :omar: :cas:

Yeah it's still dope. But if 6 Foot 7 Foot is the best song on Carter IV, it really wasn't a great album. I gotta go back and see what that shit is like.

:icedit: I'm listening to Carter IV and it sounds better than I remembered (because rap generally sucks so bad right now). It's just rando lyrics on rando beats. But it doesn't have much direction at all. It wasn't nearly as ambitious as Carter III, which is why it didn't do very well. She Will was the first of Wayne and Drake collabos that were getting lazy, and How To Hate was an unnecessary song and How To Love was Wayne leftovers from Rebirth that did not need to be released to the masses. This Outro crew track sounds good, this don't happen much anymore.

Nas said "your fate is sealed/ no Heidi Klum" on this track, that's funny :ironmike:

Side question: when's the last time wayne really went off? I'll set it off with "my niggas" remix 2014, although i think there are more recent examples.

Lotta his mixtape stuff, he's just blackin out.

It wasn't his very best, but I liked when Wayne aired out Baby multiple times on 'Family Feud'.

"I flip the bird at the Bird, what's for dinner? Popeyes"
"build a treehouse and knock the nest out that shit"
"Back to whipping a Baby on some stepmama shit"
"blank cheque in your face/ put some respeck on my shit" :copy:

Last time Drake actually rhymed like he gave two fucks too, except for a few bars in the Fire in the Booth, before he decided to not go carry on tradition and go hard for 10 minutes :omar:

Can't wait til the mumble rap era is over. People used to actually get smarter listening to the cleverness of rappers. FUCK THESE NEW IDIOTS, I DON'T CARE HOW RICH & FAMOUS YOU ARE, YOU FUCKING DUNCE. :bunk:

Wayne shoulda been more focused on this

'Uproar' is barely worthy of a #challenge

not much else hittin on the album on a widespread scale, except maybe the Nivea song

the Snoop Dogg song is dope but it's an album cut and so is the Nicki Minaj song but maybe they'll drop it still

it's not Carter III but I guess it's good it's not Rebirth

I'm SO happy it sold well. The world needs real music to buy. It's not Wayne's best, but it's BEATS AND RHYMES, which is better than blather over trap trends.

"Drop The World" had some bars, tho. Wayne is like the deepest shallow dude in rap. All one-time punchlines, but sometimes they are clever and witty as fuck

I'm happy he finally talked about shooting himself on a song in detail. I wish he had more private moments revealed on the album tho. So much random bars. That line about almost creeping with Chilli at the Lloyd Mayweather fight is the kinda stuff we need more of

Lil Wayne Ordered To Pay Former Chef $35K Over Outstanding Bill

July 25, 2019 13:48

Lil Wayne has a few lawsuits on his plate that he's dealing with right now. Of course, his battle with Young Money came to an end last year but he's still in a legal battle with his former lawyer on allegations that he was overcharged for the legal services. Unfortunately, he's also been at the receiving end of a lawsuit from his former personal chef who claimed that he refused to pay up an outstanding balance to the tune of $35K. Now, a judge has ordered Weezy to cough up the money after he failed to respond to the lawsuit, according to Bossip.

D'Antoine Hill sued Weezy over breach of contract earlier this year on claims that Wayne and Young Money refused to cough up the remaining $35K from a $416,544 total balance for the culinary services. Wayne allegedly only paid $381,954 and refused to pay up the remainder of the money. Since Weezy didn't respond to the suit, a Miami Civil Court judge hit the rapper with a default judgment ordering him to pay up. Wayne now has to pay Hill $34,589.

Aside from Wayne's legal troubles, he's currently preparing for his official follow-up The Carter V. The rapper's new album Funeralis set to come out at some point in the near future. He recently revealed that Lil Baby will appear on the project.
