Probably an unpopular opinion around the , but these are the only great drumless Rap songs of the past 12 months imho.

Y@K Bollox where you at?
Real Lies - Boss Trick (2020)
British kitchen-sink melancholy meets Balearic dancefloor magic. Peak Everything But The Pet Shop Boy-core.
Beabadoobee - Care (2020)
The only song of 2020 to make me feel like I'm in an episode of My So Called Life.

That Sauce Walka is tight. I feel like he is one of the better rappers I discovered in last few years.
Props to drizzle for being an early promoter of Junglepussy when her first mixtape dropped many years ago. I think she is my favorite artist at this point. JP4 was my favorite album of 2020, dropping late in the year. The Hellraiser aesthetic she adopted lately is really disturbing but it fits well with her music getting progressively weirder and more eclectic.

This isn’t new music but how tf is there no Octavian thread on da
Walking Alone is actually mans best track, youtube only has a slowed version tho.
Probably an unpopular opinion around the , but these are the only great drumless Rap songs of the past 12 months imho.
I personally also ride for CeeFineAss's Payback:
On the topic of CeeFineAss, her album (2020's Welcome To My City, which includes a great album cover which is very reminiscent of early '00s New Orleans album covers) had two, imo, actual pretty good songs:
I especially like Requirements because in my head it's a 2020 gender reversal of Juvenile's Soulja Rags, which also works because her accent is very pronounced. To me a very welcome addition to the N.O. canon as Soulja Rags would make my personal top 10 songs of all time and any half decent callback to that song has me open.
Ka - I Love (Mimi, Moms, Kev) (2020)
Probably an unpopular opinion around the , but these are the only great drumless Rap songs of the past 12 months imho.
I'm actually at a point where I don't even register what does and doesn't have drums anymore. I prefered Sins of The Father to this, but still really like that whole album.
Hadn't heard that Real Lies track before. Enjoyed their album from a few years back, but I guess they're struggling now their social media cabal has lost most of its cultural caché. Just checked and that track is a year old and totally passed me by. It's good, though.

Some other songs I've enjoyed in the last month. It's been an incredibly slow year so far, I've been desperate to find a few songs I enjoy.
DaBoii - DaBoii Flow
DaBoii - Dumb
Ampichino - Ordinary Rapper (prod. by DJ Child)
Also, Foxx droped a new Tape (Shakeback 2) which has a few pretty decent tracks, it's not on YouTube though.

Flo Milli - Roaring 20s (2021)
New single by the hoodrat Angelica from Rugrats now has a video. Alas, the video doesn't feature her doing a Trading Places lifestyle swap liked I hoped it would.

Cellski - Still Clappin' (2021)
Cellski - 2 Sticks (2020)
Feelin' the 2 singles from Cellski's new album, especially Still Clappin' which is the sequel of sorts to his classic Jacka collaboration Won't Be Right.

CeeFineAss ft. MoneyBagg Yo - Payback 2.0 (2020)
Damn, the remix of Payback hits way harder than the original with the new beat lettin' CeeFineAss go full 5th Ward Ceebie.
Double damn, I just noticed the o.g Payback first dropped on Soundcloud in 2018.

Best song (imo) off Suga Free's Group Therapy project. The release itself isn't that great (it has a few other decent/good songs, but it's way too long and too many tracks don't feature him at all), this song is the best of the bunch.
I'm not really into trap anymore, but I genuinely like this song. The subject matter and overall vibe of the song match well, which is no small feat in 2021.
Mac J was my favourite discovered rapper of 2020. I've yet to encounter a song in 2021 as good as Free Bris, Adios or Forgot About Me, but the above song comes close. I think it's his best song so far this year.
Alongside Mac J and Sada Baby, Flo Milli was my favourite rapper of last year. While Roaring 20's is her best song this year, couldn't forget about this song. Equal parts weird, great and bad, I'd solidly rate this as one of this year's better tracks.

P-Lo - Get Me Lit
P-Lo - Boomerang
P-Lo is making the most fun music in the Bay right now.

The ladeez have been on good form over the past couple of months:
City Girls - Twerkulator
The female Poison Clan combine Planet Rock and Percolator to make the a nu Miami Bass classic.
CupcaKKe - Mosh Pit
Hardest song of 2021 so far. Saxobeat or die!
Beabadoobee - Last Day On Earth
Obligatory time out for a new Alt-Rawk jam. Beabadoobee's best songs all sound like The Cardigans if they were signed to 4AD Records.

Nino Man - 5 0 (2021)
New wave Harlem waviness for the Roddy Rich Homie Quan generation. A+ songwriting on this one.
